What a hidden treasure in Scottsdale, The House Brasserie didn't disappoint, great food and ambiance, & the chef even came by to check on us! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a special night out!

I recently had what I hoped would be a delightful evening at this restaurant, drawn in by the beautiful scenery and incredible images I saw on OpenTable. The reviews were glowing, and the menu looked perfect for a night out. It seemed like the ideal spot to enjoy an amazing night with a stunning ambiance. Unfortunately, my experience was a complete and utter disappointment. I was called an hour prior to my reservation to confirm if I was still coming, which was odd but acceptable. However, I was informed that they "close the kitchen" at 9:30 PM, the time of my reservation. If that's the case, why take the reservation in the first place? Nevertheless, I asked if they had space and decided to come earlier. My reservation was specifically for the patio to soak in the beautiful outside setting. Instead, I was sat at the bar. The hostess was visibly annoyed by my presence, offered no special announcements, and failed to provide a proper greeting. They didn’t even confirm my reservation on OpenTable, which I found very unprofessional. Throughout my time there, the hostess was being obnoxious, loudly complaining about various things until additional patrons walked in. I had to endure her sniffling at the bar instead of blowing her nose and then running around loudly telling all the other workers about a TikTok she watched. It was incredibly distracting and made it difficult to enjoy my dinner. The food was good, but the overall discomfort overshadowed it. This was meant to be a memorable night in a beautiful place, but it turned out to be a pricey letdown. The only saving grace was the bartender, who provided excellent service. Unfortunately, this was not enough to redeem the experience. I will NEVER come back or recommend this place. I was so disappointed. My one night in town to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery was ruined.

Love the family feels of this cozy gem! The elegant service always delights every guest. Tommy makes you feel right at home. This restaurant is superb and we are lucky to have it in Scottsdale.

Love sitting outside by the trees, this time we went off script and tried the summer special menu. The pork chop Milanese was big enough for two, we could have split it and the black bass with some kind of pepper relish was excellent!

We arrived a bit early. The hostess and staff were attentive and nice. However the food is not as we would expect for a French restaurant or braserie. But I write this review after spending more than three weeks in Europe. Hard to beat! The Foie gras was great and the gem salad we had but the cheese board needs to be redesigned to include all artisan cheeses and French. While the blue cheese, honey with comb and nuts were great, the smoked Gouda has to go- it has no place on that board as it doesn’t mix well with the others. Perhaps a Boucheron or a sharp goat would do it justice (and not smoked ) - my recommendation. We had icecream as desert and it was yummy - the presentation has to be improved. There is no creme brûlée! (But there is cannoli- drop the cannoli-not French at all!) Surprise for a French restaurant, and no brioche with butter either- interesting and it needs to! Entrecôte and pomme frites (the very thin ones but not burned and off the freezer origin) has to come on the menu- staple for French cuisine! It is a French restaurant with white cloth tables so it has to be at par, especially considering the price. Plus, add the music for ambiance- Good wine list although there are plenty of excellent mid range priced wines that could be attached to the list!

I love trying new places and was excited to try The House in Scottsdale, the food was good not outstanding, we had the Shrimp Cocktail for starts and they tasted bland and almost freezer burnt. My wife had the Sea Bass and it the meat was watery, the flavor was good. I had the Ribeye the meat was cooked perfect but the cut was not the best, the polenta was super gritty and had a chunk of corn flower not great. The best part of the dinner was the Bread Pudding. I will probably not go back. The seating was not the best for a Saturday night, we have a family that sat behind us they had 3 kids 1 was asleep on the chairs and the 2 little boys were running around, not the best atmosphere for an anniversary dinner. Overall value is not the best I have had.

Had a business dinner with colleagues from out of town. The aps and entrees were top notch. Especially the salmon. Delicious.
