Sunday Roast was exceptionally delicious ! Cosy, homely dog friendly pub. Staff were friendly & welcoming & helpful but inexperienced. Can recommend

We arrived at 12 noon, we were seated and our drinks order taken. Lunch arrived, roast brisket of beef with the largest individual Yorkshire I have ever seen and was delicious. The staff were bright and friendly. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Excellent food as usual. The young waitress seemed inexperienced and did not bring drinks etc as requested , we had to ask again.

My family took me here for mothers day breakfast. Such a beautiful, cosy country pub. We had a lovely table by the fire and the daffodils on the tables were a nice touch. The food was amazing and the service was brilliant. Coffees were really good and their tea is my favourite. Was a really lovely start to mothers day.

We visited for lunch for the first time last Friday. The ladies serving were really friendly. We had a lovely table and my flat iron steak was cooked really well. Portion size was good too. My friend is a vegan and she really enjoyed the burger.

First time having a Sunday Roast! It did not disappoint, I had the pork others had Beef Brisket and also sliced beef. Portion size was perfect and plenty of veg. Couldn't fit in pudding so got it to take away. Delicious Chocolate cake !! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a traditional Sunday Roast. Can't remember seeing chicken but the other choices were all delicious.

Lovely pub and very pleased to have found it. Pizza evening was excellent and good value although FAR too much food for us! Appreciated flexibility in moving us to an earlier slot, Thank you - will definitely come again,

Excellent food, good staff, great selection of Ales. Only problem was the outside door did not have a closing mechanism and the place soon got cold as people left. When we arrived the outer door was closed and the pub was lovely and warm. It only needs a closing mechanism on the door to be a five star rating.

The food was fantastic. When we arrived we were advised the kitchen was then closing, it was 5pm, and the pub closed at 6, we did leave comment to say that this app should advise that when booking as we were then concerned that as we were the last diners of the day, the food may not be so good, but how wrong we were. Roast top runny cooked to perfection for my self and my partner had the lamb, my daughter fish and chips. All were tasty and portion size was fabulous. Dessert was honeycomb cheesecake, which was to die for and I’m very fussy!! Brioche bread and butter pudding which was also amazing and good quality ice cream all served by friendly helpful staff. Another bonus was all food was served with quality sauces. I believe the mayonnaise was homemade, the mint sauce and horseradish were both quality too, not a plastic packet portion is sight. Really looking forward to returning again to try more of the menu. Thank you. Xx

Warm & friendly greeting from staff, shown to table straight away. Great service, no waiting to place order for food & drinks. Excellent flatiron steak, chef clearly knows how to cook steak 👌 Dessert a little disappointing as regards cost Vs portion size.

Nice welcome on arrival with very quick service in terms of drink orders Requested food order's were very good with a very reasonable waiting time . The restaurant was comfortable and served good home cooked fare. We will certainly return to the haywain and look forwards to booking a festive lunch
