Everything was extraordinary. Like nothing else in Austin. Very cool, sexy vibe. Stunningly creative speciality drinks. Superior service (shout out to Regan who was attentive, fun and charming). Dishes had unique slants and presentations. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.

Absolutely phenomenal service and food. It felt more like an experience than just a simple dinner out on a Thursday night. Amanda, our server, was perfection. She had the best recommendations and really made our dinner relaxing & fun. It’s obvious that the owners/management empower staff & care about creating a memorable experience for customers. It’s great to have y’all in the neighborhood. Thank you

This was 4th time coming to the Guest House and it was for my birthday. Like always it never disappoints! The service outstanding; the food is soooooo good, and the atmosphere is gorgeous. This is my go to restaurant for meetings with friends, birthday dinner or even a casual date. Please make your reservations because you will not disappoint in the presentation and food.

Food was fantastic, would love to have ordered more and definitely more of the fun drinks, but service was so slow we didn’t get our second drink till dinner was over. Atmosphere is amazing though!

The experience was delightful! The atmosphere was elegant modern in design with chandeliers fantastic lighting and gave LA / Vegas vibes. The food was an art form. Top steak as I have ordered it twice here now and it is done to perfection. The bar had “performance”drinks that are over the top meant for effect but there is also beautiful wine and beautiful people.The only slight complaint was the music was too loud and loud acoustics inside inhibited conversation. We preferred the coziness of the outdoor patio nestled in with greenery and glass box fireplaces. Perfect romantic setting for our dinner. The whole staff was awesome dressed lovely and attended to us with a smile. We really felt appreciated. It is a beautiful date night or celebratory experience.

Everything was great we loved the wagyu burger and the tea party as well as the hamachi service was wonderful, the banana dessert we thought it wasn’t great tasted only like alcohol, but ambience and music was amazing

Popped by for some drinks and to see the new hottest dining experience. Our waiter was so sweet and you can tell the owner spent time creating a unique experience. Definitely a fun place to try at least once!!!

This was disappointing. The food was underwhelming and largely bland. The setting is lovely with beautiful light fixtures and banquettes and the staff and service were excellent. I hope they can step up the food as from mediocre hamachi crudo to soggy chicken tenders to overcooked fish, it was not the experience we had hoped for on our anniversary. It was also incredibly loud with a DJ spinning music at a sound level that made it hard to converse at 7pm on a Wednesday night.

While I “might” recommend your restaurant to others, it would be with an asterisk. I worked in restaurant management for 20 years and intimately know the industry. And I understand the restaurant is still very new. Allergies are extremely important. My guest has a very serious dairy allergy. This was communicated to the server, yet we had to send back multiple (I believe four total) dishes for having cheese or other dairy based items on the dish such as crème fraiche. We are lucky that those items were caught before consuming. I could understand one dish coming out as a mistake, but four is incompetence at best. Whether it was the server’s fault or the kitchen, it’s unacceptable. We will likely not be back. The restaurant is novelty and seems to be fun, but it’s very expensive and the attention to detail is definitely not there.

Food was great, vibe was everything. It’s for sure on the pricier side, ours was ab $125/per person with apps, main, dessert & 2 drinks each. Definitely recommend and will for sure go back.

If you enjoy “volume”—meaning both the sound level, as well as a lively & younger crowd—then Guest House is absolutely worth making a visit, especially for a special occasion or a date night treat to you and yours. Yes, sure, expect slower than ideal service, but I would definitely put that on management and staffing than on the work ethic and attentiveness of the staff. For my last minute reservation that requested a “set aside” or “romantic” or “scenic” table for two to celebrate (but made clear how I’d understand if it wasn’t possible due to the time and lateness of the request), the hosts managed to get my date and I a really cute corner table with a booth. The food and drinks were all delicious, though admittedly our first course of the mushroom pizza, rigatoni, and beef tartare especially out shined the (still very good) pork and chicken entrees. There IS a dessert menu, but it is verbaled by your server, and when nights are busy you may be left waiting longer than one may like to hear about the options—which could be upsetting if you wait all that time just to pass on their options. Our server Tony did an amazing job recovering (not that it was necessary at all, but still very very much appreciated) by taking our choice of dessert—the sticky toffee pudding, which was absofuckinglutely immaculate—off our tab, and even went so far as surprising us with espresso martinis to pair with it to commemorate the promotion we were celebrating. I imagine if the few kinks are ironed out, such as better timing of courses, clearing and re-setting before another drops, and ensuring drinks are replenished and water glasses filled, this place is an easy 5 stars waiting to happen. Thanks again to Tony our server and the hostesses for making the night a memorable one.

The vibe alone will have me coming back! The service was unfortunate but my server owned it and adjusted the bill appropriately. He came back multiple times clarifying drink orders (did I want gin or vodka in my vodka martini) and I’ll check on your burger (oh I forgot to put your order in). The music was so good and the aesthetic is gorgeous. Can’t wait to return. The spicy rigatoni was fabulous!

If you’re looking for a quieter experience, I recommend an early reservation. It got pretty loud around 7pm. The rigatoni was amazing. Desserts left a little to be desired flavor wise but their presentation was great.

Probably worst experience I’ve ever had. This place is a disorganized mess and the clientele that dines there is really the worst kind of new austinite. We had our reservation for 8:45, when you have a reservation you are expected to be seated promptly not 45 min after our reservation. They told us that we could purchase drinks at the bar. We were standing there for 15 or so min and no one came up to us so finally one of the hostesses took our order. We got our drinks chilled at the bar then one of the bar staff proceeded to spray water on us while cleaning a glass and didn’t even apologize. At this point we were at the 45 min mark so we checked to see when we would be seated they said 5 min then another 5 pass by they say 5 again. Then we check back in and they said 5 more min I said you said that 10 min ago. The hostess said “I’ll say it again”. I have never been spoken to like that at a restaurant. Finally we get a table, and it was missing a chair. They went around looking for one for about 3 min. We sit down and we asked how backed up the kitchen was and they couldn’t answer as to food timing. At that point we were just done with the whole thing and we didn’t want to be trapped there and then have to pay them for a horrible experience so we decided to leave and go to North Italia where we had a wonderful time. Please train your staff to answer timing questions, limit your guests time to 2.5 hours for parties of 2-4, 3.5 to parties of 4-6. Also the music too loud. Focus on the food not the vibes because your vibes are truly awful.

This was our first time there. It started out great but then our server just completely abandoned us. We kept having to bother busboys and other waiters for everything, even water. The food was very good though.

What a beautiful space. The service was great. The food was good too. We were seated under an AC vent and the condensation kept dripping on a guest, so hopefully that will be resolved and the humidity will fixed.

We waited 30 minutes for our table to be ready after booking a reservation well in advance. That was a little frustrating but beyond that, the drinks were just ok. Definitely a unique experience but not worth the price in my opinion.

The food was amazing! The service was okay. We had a table on the patio booked, when we arrived for our reservation they let us know that a law firm bought out the whole patio and they would need to find us something inside. We proceeded to wait an hour to finally be seated. The staff did give us a round of bubbles so that was nice, but moving us inside with no plan to be seated was frustrating.

I appreciate any restauranteur brave enough to take the chance but for us this one missed the mark on a few different levels. This is not a spot for the elderly and by elderly I mean our group is in the 45-55 age range. Everyone, (guests and patrons) did not look a day over 18 which is great for them but for people our age, just know that this place draws a younger crowd. The vibe was good. We liked the DJ. The lighting was great and the atmosphere was good too. The food we will not be back for. It was overpriced and sub par for the dollar. The bill for 4 adults was $700US. There are a LOT of steak houses in Austin where a group of 4 can eat with appies, entrees and drinks for $400 or less.
