Since graduating from Chico State in 1994, Jeff Dudum has dreamt of being a part of the Chico dining scene and by partnering with local Chico families he has now made that dream a reality. In 2022 he teamed up with Amanda Crammer and together they have created a vision for a dining experience that truly values the guest and strengthens community. After building a relationship with the Hotel Diamond family, they knew bringing The Grill to the Diamond was something they had to do. They are thrilled to be a part of the magic that is Downtown Chico and to create lasting memories with all of you here at The Grill!

Our mission is to bring an elevated and inviting dining experience to Downtown Chico while offering our guests unique, yet comforting classics made in-house with the freshest quality ingredients.

We stayed at Hotel Diamond for our daughter's Chico State Graduation and had the BEST TIME!!! The owner of the restaurant/bar and his staff were fantastic. Drinks and food were so good and the overall vibe was perfect for us. Highly recommend!!!!

We had a wonderful experience throughout the evening. Food was excellent. Timing and presentation were perfect. It was such a fun evening.

Celebrating my son’s graduation. The Grill was the perfect spot. Very accommodating and attentive. Everything was great from the service crew to the food!! I will be back!

We took my daughter and her friend to brunch after Chico State graduation . I had eggs Benedict which was very good , eggs were a tad overcook but hollandaise sauce was out standing . Wife had a French dip that was very good and my daughter’s friend had the steak salad which was delicious according to her . Service was good I would definitely dine here again !!

They were out of several items, including all pasta, mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, Brussels sprouts , eggplant parmigiana. We ended up just having appetizers for dinner! Won’t go back.

This place is great! Went for graduation dinner ... food & drinks were great, service was on point and ambiance perfect. PS Only flaw was the stale chips... they don't go with anything on the menu either. Serve the burrata with crostinis instead. Salmon✅️ Boulennaise ✅️ Fish Tacos ✅️ Hamburger ✅️ so good....

Seemed a bit under-staffed but we really enjoyed dinner and the seating by the front window was an unexpected treat.

We ate here on Mother's Day. We could see the kitchen and they had plenty of help in the kitchen, yet our food took 30 minutes to get to us from ordering. They ran out of champagne flutes and served us champagne in wine glasses. At first they were attentive, but eventually the waitress disappeared. One of our diners asked for new bacon as the bacon she received was ice cold. The music was so inappropriate for Sunday brunch. Perhaps investing in a floor manager would help. You know it's Mother's Day. Plan ahead,
