We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!

Our journey started on a quiet West Village street called Carmine. Two brothers, Dave and Pete, made a bold decision. Without any business experience, any real plan, or anything resembling a thought beyond getting through the day, we opened a restaurant. What we had lacked in experience we made up for with spirit and creativity. We did not want to be businessmen. We were artists. Our little shop at 33 Carmine St. was our original canvas. We set out with a simple mission: to create a place where people would want to be. We named it after our dogs, Moose and Goose Lane. Our Chelsea location opened three years later in 2010.

The food was delicious: we had black bean soup, a tomato soup (took me back to my childhood; creamy comfort food) with a melted disk of yummy cheese, perfect for dipping. The Crispy Chicken Bowl was tasty and filling, with quinoa, nicely seasoned black beans, and a perfectly ripe avocado. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We love the Grey Dog! Always a great spot for Brunch. Avocado Toast was on point. Definitely a fun little spot.

Waitstaff attentive, friendly, kind. Food was good but a little pricey. There's only one bathroom, and the wait was almost comical.

Was not aware that a 20% tip was automatically added to bill and I effectively paid double tip. It was a group of seven which I am not usually with. Although it was on bill, I didn't review other than the total. Although it is a very nice place, disappointed that server did not alert me to this.

HORRIBLE. Poorly-prepared, low quality, cold and/or inedible food. If you want cold eggs, cold French toast, lettuce covered in black spots in your salad and burnt, rock hard grilled cheese sandwiches, this is the brunch spot for you. If not, avoid this place.
