We had a really lovely meal and the staff were so friendly and nice. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

It was lovely to have our private area for the birthday celebrations. Food was delicious - it would have been better, if they could differentiate the spicy from non-spicy by using different colour bowls, as they already have different colours anyway.

I felt the ambience could have been improved with lower light levels. Our waiter Falin was very helpful and friendly. Overall we had a very nice evening.

The food here never ever disappoints. So so delicious all the time, probably one of the best Indian restaurants on the coast.

The restaurant wasn't busy, and it took the 1 waiter 40 minutes to take our order. We were ready just to give up, stand up, and walk across the road to another restaurant. Food was average at best, which is such a shame because we were weekly loyal fans of The Gand Pavillion and their amazing chef's (before it turned into The Grand Pallace). Again, devastated it wasn't as good. Malay Kofta was shockingly tastless. Most dishes were ALL sauce with little "solid food" ration. E.g: minimal meat, veg, cheese/dumplings, etc.. 90% sauce?! Oh no.. It isn't BYO anymore either, but their drink/wine list is very good. Definitely the highlight Would I go again? Not a lot, and that is such a shame.

We were visiting Terrigal for a family birthday and were recommended The Grand Palace. It turned out to be a great place for all, food was amazing, and the service was excellent. I would definitely eat there again, it was also reasonably priced.

We have had good experiences previously so this must have been a bad night for the staff. Took over 2 hours for 1 simple entree and 4 mains. Took us ages to ask if someone could please take our order. Sent the entree back as it was completely wrong item. Mains arrived without roti bread which had been ordered. We asked 3 times for the bread but they only said it was ready when we had finished and were about to leave. When paying we asked them to remove the missing item from the bill and they said 'are you sure'? Very poor experience and we were embarrassed to have recommended this to our friends.

Food was lovely. However, as I cannot eat spicy food, I found what was described as “not hot” was a bit hot for me. Flsvours eere very nice.

Great choices, good prices and lovely food. Sitting at street level was nice too. I’ll be back again sometime soon.

Food was very good, my lamb shanks meat just fell off the bone and melted in my mouth, very tasty. The service was very friendly and relatively timely. My only negatives are: 1. We asked to be seated outdoors but could only be seated in the downstairs footpath cafe/ restaurant section where traffic noise and lots of passing pedestrians gawking was somewhat annoying. 2. In as much as the food came reasonably quickly, my meal came more than 10 minutes after my Wifes' meal and I had to eat Papadams and garlic cheese Naan bread so my wife felt comfortable eating before me. 3. Never trust an Indian person when they tell you "yes it is spicy but quite mild". My wife couldn't eat the spicy rice (too hot) and it was almost too hot for me and I love spicy hot but I found it very tasty. My Wife and I have dined upstairs indoors previously and that was a totally different experience. Good food, good friendly attentive service, reasonably priced and good atmosphere.

Great food as always. Shame the cauliflower is not still on the menu🙁- but delighted it’s still BYO. Same chef, same wonderful food👍

We booked for 6.30pm due to needing to go to work next morning so wanted quick dinner. Unfortunately that was not the case. We were seated, waiter took drinks order with which we requested papadums, in the meantime we looked at menu to decide the food we wanted. 45 minutes passed, no drinks and no interest in taking our order. We had to go ask for our drinks. Waitress bought my sons two very flat cokes and a bottle of wine with no glasses! When I went to get the glasses the waiter said he will bring them but proceeded to take something to another table instead of ours! Still waiting for our papadums and to give our food order at this stage. Meanwhile waiters and waitresses have passed our table numerous times and cleaned other tables! Waitress comes and finally asks if we are ready to order, we say yes, she then turns around and takes an order from a very large group instead! Finally after a few requests to give our order they take our order! Entrees arrive quickly! Delicious, so we were happy, but still waiting on papadums which we asked for 4 times. Main takes another 45 mins from enter to arrive, quite possibly longer after hubby went up and said something. Still waiting on papadums. Food finally arrived! Absolutely delicious. Can not fault the flavour but the service was horrendous. We were pleasantly surprised with our meal being made complimentary, we did not expect this to be the case but we were grateful for them acknowledging their lack of service. We may look to try again another time however for now we will consider other options.

Greatly understaffed. Had one person taking orders for just about all the tables. Took about 25min before someone came to take our order and we had to ask staff twice to get them to come over to take our order. The food came before even our drinks and was missing an item. Food was very nice. Server barely even looked at us when giving us water/taking our order. Don’t know if I’ll come back again just simply cause of the service
