The Grand Palace provides an excellent atmophere for an Indian restaurant. The decoration is very characteristic of colonial India and the food is 6 stars! Cleanliness was faultless and the food was creative in every way. Best of all it was served promptly! The Grand Palace is a real gem and I will go again.

Arrived at 8:45 which is late for Australians and near empty restaurant. We were essentially last call and seated in a corner. Unlike India, food is not at all spicy - great for all the British folks I suppose. Had to ask for some spices but nothing but a red spice paste. Friendly servers and could be fun if busy.

Best Indian meal … great and quick service, delicious food. We had the garlic naan bread, onion bhaji, hariyali kebab, and chicken tikka masala. Nothing negative, only positive. Staff attentive and efficient. Good wine/beer choices, also great. We have found our new Indian go to in Sydney CBD!

Been in Sydney for long, from Aki's to Zaffran , found this too expensive. Mocktail drinks were below average. Food was good but a big birthday party celebration did not give a fine dining experience. Will refer to friends but with mentioned points.

Very outdated decor, and not very clean, and hardly a warm welcome. Warm, stale tasting water was in a bottle on the table, the service was perfunctory and it felt as though we were an annoyance. The food was excellent, the chefs should try to find somewhere with a better front of house.

Authentic Indian taste. The servers suggested us the perfect dish based on our preference. Would recommend to dine in at this place for a great taste and amazing service

The food was hot (temperature) and flavoursome. The service was prompt but not overbearing and the value was great. We were in a bit of a hurry but it turned out to be perfect timing. Very happy with everything.

The food was delicious with a nice variety of options I haven’t seen before. The service was great and allowed us to split the bill which was helpful. Lovely atmosphere… I would definitely return

Food was excellent. The only thing that slightly annoyed us was the constant sound of chairs moving & grazing on the floor . Restaurant decorations were lovely . Service was friendly.

Had a wonderful meal on New Years Eve. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. Wish I had appreciated it was family style. We would have branched out to try more dishes

The food was overall amazing- very authentic. The fish entree was a bit disappointing - otherwise great food. The air-conditioning was not up to the mark. We were actually perspiring at the end of the meal. Being in a basement- they need to get the temperature sorted out so clients are comfortable whilst enjoying their good food. Would recommend to others only if they get the ambience (temperature)!sorted out.

Pls improve your table service and customers service. I have been to Mona vale branch for some times, I have never disappointed with them. The overall experience is excellent. They would always remind me if Im over ordered it or less ordered. So professional! However I'm disappointed with CBD service. First of all the, no one look after my table, I tried to have eye contact with waiters but they seems avoid it. Second, the waiters/waitress seems less trained, they gave me wrong information about my order, like rice, obviously I can't finish that BIG bowl of rice, the waitress should have infomed me. Last, the food tasted too salty. The drink is over sweet. I even found two small pieces of plastic part in my rice, I wanted to call waiters but as I mentioned, my table is not look aftered well. I felt very sick after few hours. This is my ture feedback. I would still come back but only Mona vale.

The cuisine and service at this restaurant are both excellent. The food is tasty and the ambience is very pleasant. The one most important thing that makes it a good value for money is the price range.

Been here many times but this time I noticed the menu has changed. Most of the dishes we tried was good, except chicken biryani which looked and tasted more like masala rice. Staffs were not so welcoming even when they were not loaded as it was a quiet Tuesday evening. Overall good.

One of the best Indian Food in Sydney. The service quality is high as well. Waiter and manager were very nice. Food is quickly served. Decoration is nice. Only black point is the noise level mainly due to the big tables made for large groups who are generally very loud with a restaurant that is made of one big room. They should cut the main room to reduce the noise and give some intimacy for people who want it. We recommend it to all our friends.
