The Grand Marlin Restaurant features a main dining area with a shucked to order oyster bar, exterior North Drop Bar overlooking Grand Lagoon, and private meeting rooms. This Panama City Beach restaurant, with an air of island casualness, serves the highest-quality cuisine, including the freshest local seafood featured on menus designed and printed daily to take advantage of the local bounty. The atmosphere creates a fusion of the Caribbean and the Panama City Beach Area. Corporate Executive Chef Gregg McCarthy has a passion for great-tasting food and particularly loves working his culinary magic with fresh Gulf Coast seafood. Boaters and beach-goers feel comfortable in shorts and flip-flops at the oyster bar, in the dining room and at the North Drop Bar. Like was great, impeccable service! The food was absolutely delicious, my sister and I both had the grouper although we did sub grilled asparagus for the sautéed spinach. I enjoyed the butter cake with pistachio anglaise and pistachio fraiche, most delicious; my sister had the creme brulee, which she said was scrumptious. We will be back on our next trip for sure.

Excellent Lobster Fingers, Espresso Martini, Grouper Piccta and all the desserts! Highly recommend. So nice to get a reservation on vacation!

My second visit to the Grand Marlin and was awesome. Food was superb and the wait staff was very attentive. My favorite is still the blue crab claws on the appetizer menu. My only complaint was the front staff was a bit rude. We arrived early and we wanted to grab a drink at the bar so we mentioned we were ok if it takes a little time. She was annoyed that we were asking questions about if that was ok and didn’t want to fool with us. We ended up at the bar and in 5 mins, we text us to be seated. When we rushed to get back to the front, they weren’t even ready for us. Not great experience for the rest of the group but we ended up enjoying the rest of the night.

We had a 6 p.m. reservation so arrived a little early in order to take advantage of the happy hour in the bar. Can’t beat their happy hour prices. Love the Blue Angel Chips. We had dinner upstairs in the open air next to window. Such a great view. Two of us had the Grouper Piccata and two had the scallops. All of it was excellent. Our server was very attentive. Definitely one of our favorite upscale restaurants in PCB.

Overall, excellent. Food was delicious and service was great. Cocktails were fun and yummy. A little pricey, but would still highly recommend.

Diners arriving without reservations were seated prior to diners with reservations. This did not make sense to me. We had reservations but were put in the first room on the left which was nothing special, had no view, and had very bad acoustics. Our server was busy but excellent. Our appetizer of smoked tuna dip was very good. My mojito was definitely not worth $10.50. The drink had no discernable alcohol and the glass was FULL of ice and 3/4 of a lime. The mint was not fresh and not muddled. My husband and I had prime rib which was good. I am unsure why my mashed potatoes and haricot verts were under my prime rib?? We will likely return because the food was excellent. I hope we have a better dining area when we return. Beer for me next time!

Food was fantastic and the service was even better. Went to celebrate our 5th anniversary, and everything from the personalized menus to the complimentary dessert. Will definitely recommend and return when we are back in PCB.
