Another great experience at The Gloriette. Wine selection was superb. Seafood gumbo, gnocchi with crawfish, redfish, salmon, and mussels were each 100%. Always enjoy a meal there!

We were there for Brunch. Food was very good and bit pricey but not unexpected. The service was a big let down. After being seated for about 15 minutes I had to ask for someone to wait on us. My waiter then showed up a few minutes later. We ordered iced tea, came with nothing to stir so had to ask for a spoon. The food was delivered by a food runner but didn’t see the waiter until we finished our entree. Then he came for a dessert order. My compliments to the bus people, cleared other tables with no noise.

Hadn’t been there since Ox Lot closed. Sorely disappointed. The layout is terrible, in comparison, and the food and service were average. When we entered, tables were still not cleared. Ordered the gumbo with potato salad, but it had rice instead; but, it was very good. Ordered eggs Benedict which came with no side, and was runny and English muffin wasn’t toasted well. Sauce was broken. When I questioned why wine was not the vintage on the menu and whether the price was the same, was told the wine was “comparable.” You don’t advertise one vintage, then sell a newer one at the same price. We won’t be back. Miss Ox Lot and Chef Jeff.

Crispy oysters appetizer says fondue and caviar. Neither were included. Going to call and ask why. Perhaps their description needs to be modified. But other than that all was very good. Service from Destiny was exceptional.

We had a lovely brunch. The caramel sticky buns as a starter were a highlight and a MUST order! Eggs benedict was delightful, perfectly cooked runny but jammy egg yolks, just the right amount of tangy hollandaise. Our guest enjoyed their caesar salad with plenty of gulf shrimp.

What a lovely experience for brunch! The service, food, ambiance, and atmosphere were phenomenal. Surprisingly reasonably priced as well. My friend and I enjoyed it so very much. We will definitely be back!

Service was excellent with Nathan our waiter. The food was good overall but that’s because I’d rate one entree as excellent (fisherman redfish) and one as ok (gnocchi). We split a salad and gumbo for appetizers and they were very good. All the Desserts were excellent (cheesecake, chocolate mousse, apple tart dish). Ambiance was very nice for the most part but then a louder, younger group came in at the end and interfered with that. However, overall it was a great experience. We will definitely be going back.

Our first trip tonight. The ambiance was exceptional, the staff the best I have seen in a very long time. Our server was Destin, and if you meet her you’ll be glad you did! The food was perfectly prepared and creatively presented. We can vouch for the martinis, filet, red fish, gloriette salad, burrata salad and house made ice cream for dessert. Worth every penny!

All the food was very good - the house salad was very surprising and the shrimp salad was unique. Our entrees were good - my gumbo was yummy but could have been served warmer

Food was superb! We had the pork cheek and Brussel sprouts for appetizers. Our entrees were the coffee rubbed venison and the salmon. The venison was so tender and paired perfectly with the squash purée. Nathan our server was wonderful. Super helpful and funny. We can’t wait to go back!

I attended French Friday at The Gloriette which featured French inspired food and drinks. The setting was lovely however, my choices were limited as I do not eat meat on Fridays during Lent. I would suggest more seafood or vegetarian options during this season. I truly enjoyed the theme and hope inspired events continue.

Our server, Ken, allowed us the time to "catch up" & didn't rush us. Relaxed & enjoyed our Pretty in Pink cocktails. Both entrees were delicious - Moules Frites & Blue Crab Tagliatelle! In fact those fries were the best I've ever tasted!! The atmosphere is just beautiful. Can't wait to return.

Instead of ordering an appetizer or salad and an entree for dinner, we opted for a meal of appetizers. Five in total, each one delicious, with several big enough to be an entree. Great decision. Wine by the glass, after our cocktails. Service excellent. Just an enjoyable experience.

The Gloriette has become one of our favorite restaurants in Southeast Louisiana. It fares well in comparison with restaurants in New Orleans with a sophisticated emu, excellent cocktails, a very comfortable atmosphere, and superb service. Impeccable!

Our service, food and ambiance was nothing short of outstanding! The fried Brussels sprout and the fried oyster appetizers were delicious! The filets were perfect! This was our first of many future visits! Most of the nicer restaurants we were familiar with were closed as it was Mardi Gras so we took a chance and couldn’t have been happier! They have now nudged out others from the first and second choices! You will not be disappointed and they have a fabulous happy hour at the beautiful bar until 6:00 daily! Great wine and cocktails 50 off during happy hour. Wonderful piano music, great vibe, excellent wines. It is a must try for Covington!

We walked to the Materdie station, and he said nothing looked at me, grab the menus and walked to the table. Threw the menus on the table. Slid silverware across the table. And then came back and asked us do we know what we want yet? For these kind of prices this was McDonald’s service.

The server was abysmal, lacked attentiveness, treated us as an annoyance. He preferred to disgustingly flirt with a table of teenagers. Three of the items on the menu were sold out. Appetizers came at the same time as entrees. The food was tasty. I’ve been here before and enjoyed the experience. The waiter today made the difference between an enjoyable experience and one that is forgettable.

Everything was wonderful! Food was delicious and server, Mason, was very friendly and attentive. Beautiful restaurant! Would definitely return and recommend!

This was our third or fourth visit to Gloriette, and it was a disappointment compared to our earlier experiences. We arrived just in time for our reservation, and despite a row filled with empty tables, the hostess disappeared into an adjacent room for several minutes of private discussion with other staff. Someone ahead of us was forced to wait as well, and we finally were seated. A waiter soon appeared, and we placed our drinks order and focused on our decisions on what to order for dinner. The water appeared quickly, and then the waiter reappeared and took our food order. In the midst of our first course, we noticed that our wine had not appeared. This was corrected when we bright it to the waiter's attention, with an apology and the wine soon making its appearance. The food was generally very good, although the chef replaced the creamed peas tha accompanied my salmon - itself very good - with boiled black-eyed peas (b/c I'm lactose intolerant) that detracted from the dish. Then came a worst part - the check came with the main part indicating a bill of close to $170, but also included was a copy in which the bill was less than $140. It took some careful reading to clarify: the larger amount included (in fine print) a gratuity of 23%. Since the larger bill had a blank tip line as well, it would have been easy to overlook the gratuity, and end providing a tip of over 40%. I view this as deliberate deception at such a "high class" restaurant to be totally inappropriate. We won't be back.

Your concerns about seating delay and the billing discrepancy have been noted, and I am addressing them with our team. Please note that our billing system allows guests to charge to the room, which often causes confusion among guests. I assure you that I am working on improving our communication in this regard. I would also like to emphasize that any discrepancies in billing were completely unintentional. We would never intentionally deceive our guests. The waiter was nice but new. The food just wasn’t great. And we were celebrating a birthday and literally the only bottle option was Veuve. We enjoyed it but would have preferred a cheaper bottle option.
