The Seafood platter is overpriced and one-dimensional. Add more shrimp and diversify with a bit with lobster. Just a suggestion.

We always enjoy a great dinner at the Gage, consistent quality food and service. We went early in the late afternoon and had a quiet table for two-perfect.

The Thai Coconut Curry, chef’s kiss, coupled either grapefruit Negroni was perfection in addition to to the the service provided by Abigail our waitstaff made for a great mother’s day.

Mid restaurant on Michigan Avenue. Food was ok not bad, not great! Very dark not a good brunch spot. Dinner would be better.

Mother’s Day Brunch was amazing. They had a special menu but you could also order off the regular menu. Very flexible. Our server was knowledgeable, witty and knew the menu very well. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was great. Thoughtfully restored and renovated decor adds to the experience and the music suited the vibe perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Second time at the gage post theater/symphony and this will be a go to place each time. Hope the menu changes. The food is excellent though, and so was the service. Maggie sequenced and timed our food well and she was attentive and helpful. Overall excellent experience.

Sorry to give only 3-stars for The Gage, but charging $31 for a Caesar Salad with Chicken at lunch is outrageous.

We were there for lunch and everyone loved what they had. Service was amazing - most of our party was very late because of event traffic, and they couldn’t have been nicer about it. The lobster roll was great, cocktails were great.

Absolutely fantastic choice of restaurant! Very accommodating with our concert time at the CSO. Attentive to service, manager stopped by twice to check on us and make sure everything was ‘perfect.’ Food was top notch. We had their hunk of cheese with honey for an appetizer….delicious! Ordered the fresh halibut and prime rib for entrees, perfect choice. Ambiance was welcoming and not too loud. Will definitely return. Highly recommend trying The Gage if you want an evening to remember.

Food was excellent (best prepared scallops I’ve quite literally ever eaten; pork poutine was scrumptious; crème brûlée was perfectly creamy and tasty). Cocktails were perfect and wine selections were very nice. Service was both friendly and impeccable. Location on Michigan Ave near the theater district made it a perfect choice for a nice afternoon theater dinner.
