The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's David Belknap and Jason Findley anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal. The service was great! Friendly, but not intrusive. The food was excellent. I had the 24 hour chicken and it was better than the chicken I had at a 2 Michelin star restaurant. And the lemon thyme creme brûlée was life-changingly good.

Very staffed, and very professional. Food was quick and delicious. Large selection of good drink options. Crab crakes were delicious. Great fire stone pizza and entrees! And of course, the ambience was everything with a great view of the Gem City!

We were very excited to eat here based on the excellent reviews, but were very disappointed. Our pizza came out burnt and didn’t have great flavor. It was pretty bland. We then received our appetizer, toast with burrata, and the toast was burnt. Had decent flavor, but could’ve used a touch of salt besides being burnt. Then I had the meatballs and pasta. Sauce tasted liked a can of Hunt’s tomato sauce was poured over the pasta. Terrible flavor. The meatballs exactly had good flavor but were dry and the sauce didn’t help. I love pasta and sauce and I couldn’t bring myself to even finish this dish. Lastly, our server must’ve taken a break or something because after waiting 20 minutes or so for him to come back and check on us, I finally had to ask someone else for our check and she cashed us out and we never saw him again.

Super view and service. Really great food. Noise level was much too intense - DJ was playing music so loud it was difficult to converse. When we asked for him to adjust it a bit we were told that he mostly plays at that level all the time. It was too loud for everyone. Table of young people vaping which was handled nicely by management.

Fantastic service, classy group of people great looking space well thought through menu. Overall, food was very good. Just missing a little something. Hard to say what- definetly a great restaurant and location. Can’t beat the view. The meatballs and Paparadelle were good, but the sauce was just kind of benign and interesting. The steak poutine was really steak served with gravy fries. I Don’t think the gravy had cheese curds in it, which poutine is supposed to have. The food was good, but it was just missing a little ooomph to make it great

Food could be better. Hummus too dry. Needs tahini & olive oil. Pineapple juice served without a straw, very sour, maybe spoiled. Husband’s martini with no olives. My brined chicken was not tender this time. The previous time I had it, it was delicious. Service was excellent. We love coming there. Missed seeing Christian & Francesca.
