The Foundry Rooftop restaurant is located on the sixth floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Dayton. Inspired by the fire within foundries, the factories that produce metal castings, this wood-fired kitchen embraces the flame. Devour new takes on internally-inspired cuisine with our Loaded Potato Pizza and Ingot Crab Crakes, or our signature Foundry Reuben and Charred Meatballs. Hearty, midwestern favorites from Chef's David Belknap and Jason Findley anchor our menu like our Crispy Pork Belly and 24-Hour Chicken. And with a combination of smoked whiskeys, classic cocktails, and local beers, you’ll always have the perfect pairing of spirits to enhance the heat of your meal. Saturday evening and they were out of the first drink on their cocktail list and two entrees? Amateurish to say the least. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves. The dj was excellent.

My wife & I enjoyed dinner before going to the theatre. The food was very tasty. Katie, our server, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, & helpful.

Our very first time here and the standard was very high which is very refreshing. After covid most restaurants lack in cleanliness, service and quality of meals. I had the poutine: steak was cooked to perfection and the steak fries were on another level with fancy gravy and pink peppercorn. I just didn't care for the vegetable which was an entire stalk of broccoli. Mom had the burger which she found delicious and my dad had the meatballs with pappardelle and he almost licked the plate clean. Zoë our server was a delight, she was knowledgeable and fun and took great care of us. And the location can't be beat. Highly recommend this restaurant. Even if only for a rooftop cocktail. They have valet parking for 13 dollars.

Food was excellent. We had the 24 hour chicken, Forged burger, tiramisu , and for drinks, a Pearl and an Old Fashioned. Server was friendly & efficient. We had reservations but at the time we were there 5 pm, looked like it was easy to do a walk in. We sat inside, noise level not bad. We could speak in normal tones. We’ll sit outside next time - great view of DayAir ballpark

Our first time ordering the pizza. The tomatoes, cheese, & pesto came together in a tasty combination. The dough was thin & bendable while still holding all the toppings. Yum!!!

The bar experience was perfect. Ran out of pizza dough when we sat down, which is the main thing we wanted to order. The menu items we ordered were not very quality made and hot pasta dish came out cold. It’s a great location with nice views and bar, but disappointed in quality of dishes ordered.

The atmosphere, service and food was wonderful. Our only complaint is that larger parties (we had 7) are seated in long booths. Having a few folks that are 60+ in the party makes that difficult to slide in and out of for the visit.

I had the Ruebon sandwich and fries. I love a good Ruebon and theirs was top-tier. Delicious. The fries were cut too big and seemed like they could have cooked longer. My husband had the Carnivore pizza - it was very flavorful and delicious. We loved the music and overall ambience. We will definitely be going back.

The service was great! Friendly, but not intrusive. The food was excellent. I had the 24 hour chicken and it was better than the chicken I had at a 2 Michelin star restaurant. And the lemon thyme creme brûlée was life-changingly good.
