What a lovely hidden gem! Lovely food, incredible chips, shame the place was so quiet, I hope business picks up, as it's some where I want to visit in the future!

The new Afternoon Tea service is fantastic. Scones were perfectly done - large, light and fluffy and still warm from the oven. My very particular husband said they were the best he’d had in years! The sandwiches were a very generous size as well - the coronation chicken sandwich was especially nice. Tasty desserts too. 10/10, will be back.

Amazing Service, friendly environment, delicious food at very competitive price. We love the place so much that we go every week. Highly recommended!

I don't recall the website etc stating the set meal deal has to be pre-booked so I went à la carte. The pan fried scallop dish was superb, perfectly cooked scallops, enough sauce & truly crispy bacon 🤤 I couldn't resist the truffled "fries" and together made me glad i didn't order a main!! The wine menu didn't jump out to me given there's a great local wine bar nearby whilst the cocktails seemed too sweet........my waiter said the barman could make something off piste which worked out really well - except the price and the several small ice cubes making it wet at the end 🙄 Whilst there were people there, as a solo diner I often feel I'm kept away from the main area.

Unfortunately the food was not up to standard, the lasagne was extremely dry and inedible, the plant burger was too much like meat. However, on a good note the hotel was lovely, clean and had a great quiet atmosphere. The staff were really helpful. Perhaps the snacks are better there.

Me and my partner went there for the Valentines dinner and it was such an incredible experience! Each of the courses were amazing,and had a lovely time thanks to the attentive waiters who made the dinner so sweet and the pool table after a few glasses of wine was so much fun. I would say the waiters deserve way more service charge after all the hard work they were doing! Definitely recommend the experience for future couples to enjoy it as much as we did :)

It was horrendous, especially the service. Of the 8 course, I can say I was genuinely happy with 4. Some were badly cooked, some were bland, and in general portions we were served were sensibly smaller and worse than the ones on other tables. The service was poor, they need to make serious improvements. We have been offered several apologies, but no sign of improvement. At least they charged us only £1 for service. We fleft the restaurant exhausted. Won't recommend.
