Owned and operated by John Crook and his partner Erik Heck, The Flying Pig Olympic Village is referred to as a nouveau Canadian bistro in the community for its fresh, local ingredients and quality food. The restaurant is known for its contemporary Canadian and seafood specials. It has a nice décor comprising of a combination of dark and light colored wooden furniture, along with brick style and white painted walls. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, and customers prefer to have brunch, lunch and dinner here.

The Flying Pig Olympic Village has separate menus for dinner, lunch, brunch and happy hour. There is also a wine & beverage list featuring different types of drinks from the restaurant's full bar.
The Flying Pig offers late night Happy hour from 9pm-close 7 days a week.

                                        The service was great, the server was knowledgeable and had great recommendations. I’ve been here before but my guests was from out of town and have wanted to come dine at flying pig for a while. Thanks to our server they had an amazing experience.

                                        We had an early reservation so the restaurant was fairly empty so noise level was perfect to carry on a decent conversation without yelling. We ordered off the Happy Hour Menu/. As it turned out we ordered the same items and shared a bowl of truffle fries. The coconut prawns were so good, nice and crispy with a very nice dipping sauce. We also ordered the beet and arugula salad. I have had this type of salad at many different venues and none of them had the amount and size of beets that this small side salad had. It was exceptional. I am sure all four of us will definitely be back. Also a shout out to our server. Tiktrip? A very personable young man. Attentive without being intrusive. We enjoyed chatting with him. Definitely an asset to The Flying Pig.

                                        Flying Pig is my go to place. They are a solid choice. Service always very good. Food always tasty and served quickly. And they’ve never rushed us out…staff always pleasant and friendly.

                                        For the price of the food, the ingredients used and the quality of the food can be improved. If I'm paying $40 for a meal, I would expect a bit more from the food. Other than that, everything was good.

                                        We enjoyed a family celebration dinner at Flying Pig after our son ran the YVR Marathon. The staff moved our longstanding reservation to a later time when we had to pivot for an afternoon commitment. We were welcomed upon arrival and proceeded to choose a nice BC wine to go with our dinner orders. Every entree was delicious and prepared to order for our various needs/preferences. Waitstaff excellent. Thank you so much. This was our second visit and we will return. Recommend✔️
