    Another wonderful meal with wonderful service at the Florentine! The pizzas and salads are always great and my go-tos but we tried the grilled octopus appetizer this time, and it was FANTASTIC! Our server was so kind as well and overheard that there was a bday at the table and surprised us with a bday treat. So thoughtful! Cannot wait to come back.

    I had to get up from the table and find the waitor to get our bill as we sat there for 30 minutes and he never came over with our bill

    Florentine is one of four - five restaurants I rotate when I am choosing a pre-theatre restaurant. It is a bit of a walk from the theatres, but not bad, especially in warmer weather. I'm not certain many people know of the restaurant; it is located in the financial district and I understand it has a very vibrant after-work bar scene. I'm usually there on Saturday evenings, and those tend to be slower nights. Service is relaxed, cordial, and attentive. All the pasta dishes are excellent; I'm especially fond of the Bolognese. Wine list is a bit $$$ but there are a few $60 wines that are quite nice.

    The ambiance was really good and the service was exquisite. However, the food didn’t justify all that. We ordered Bruschetta, Gnocchi and 4 cheese pizza. Bruschetta and Gnocchi were okay, however, pizza was really bad! Overall 3 stars

    Experience was quite nice however I felt as if the prices were a little unsettling.

    Excellent dinner options in the heart of the Loop. Often overlooked as it is on the 2nd floor of the Marriott and not noticeable from street level. Great spot for after lunch or work dinner, before a show or for business.

    Food was fantastic. I had the daily special, seafood pappardelle and tiramisu. Service was good, attentive (although it was Thursday night so not as busy). Would definitely go back.
