The Fireside never disappoints. Party of 8, Easter Sunday. Our server, Fran, was attentive, efficient, and very sweet. We chose a variety of entree's, and everything was fantastic. Steaks were cooked perfectly, pork tenderloin was fork tender, and the salmon eggs benedict was delicious. The new corner round booth fit our party beautifully and was cozy with a gorgeous lake view. Yes, the prices are high, but worth every cent and more, for the experience and the perfection of each dish. Thank you!

We were seated early, our server warmly greeted us and asked about beverages, relishes arrived promptly, salads and main course arrived as we finished salads, inquiry about first bites...a wonderful dining experience....as always!

Food was good however the cost of sides was a little much considering what they were. Disappointed that sides did not come with my steak. Steak was perfect though. Celebrated our anniversary with dinner here but the server didn’t ask if we came for a special occasion or anything and that was expected since the way we made our reservation, we were asked if we were coming for a special occasion. But nothing was said about that when we were there.

We loved this restaurant! You begin with a small vegetable tray with olives and pickles. The waitress was sweet, helpful, attentive and provided great service. We each got a salad. I upgraded mine to a wedge salad. It could’ve been a meal. It was so delicious. My husband had the prime rib (Saturday nights) and I had the chicken parmesan. We both loved what we got! We also had the crème brûlée. It was perfect. We will come again!

Talk about price gouging. If you’re looking for a pricey, mediocre dining experience with a great view this place is for you! As a long time customer (family has been coming here for over 50 years) It’s such a disappointment and an insult. Prices are San Francisco level but the food is basic and medium quality.

First, we love The Fireside (visit not as often as we should). However, our last experience was not up to par. We believe the wait staff sets the tone of an experience. This night our's was neither welcoming nor helpful when asked questions. For the most part our food was good but not exceptional. My Caesar salad w/anchovies that had excess anchovy oil for some reason. As always the ambiance is very relaxing, even with a full dining room. Of course we'll return; it is normally fantastic. Hopefully next time things will be back to the normal experiences we've had in the past.

We were celebrating a belated New Year’s Eve date and Fireside never disappoints! We started with a cheese platter that was very unique and flavorful. Sara was our server and she was so pleasant and helped us choose just the right entree’s. Always a good experience - thank you to all who make it a great place

This visit is our first disappointment at the Fireside. We drive an hour to enjoy the Fireside; the cocktails, staff and food are typically very good. This visit however; my prime rib was served warm as well as the baked potato. My wife had the Beef Wellington which was a special for the night. While the fillet was very good, the dish itself was mis-labeled. It would be better if called “fillet in-a-birdcage” as it had no similarity to a Beef Wellington. We’ll return as we really enjoy our meals there but we’ll stick to the basics.

Loved the ambiance - classy but relaxed. We were there for an early dinner so there were several large groups with children and they seemed happy and not chaotic. I noticed they served the kids first so they didn’t get antsy, which I impressed me. Our group ordered two different walleye dinners, one steak dinner, and ribs - all excellent. The shareable Mac and Cheese was to die for; I think I could live on it. Our server was top-notch. We look forward to returning.

Good for a regular restaurant/steak house but in fact I emailed them for special requests- none of them done but I received a confirmation. Very embarrassing for me in front of the people I brought. Food was good, but service was poor. I wish I chose a different restaurant for the price range I had.

We enjoy the fireside whenever we are there. Ahi tuna as the appetizer was very good as it usually is. My wife had the salmon and said it was delicious. I and another guest were going to have the 8 ounce filet but decided to upgrade to the 14 ounce bone in Hamilton. It was good but probably not worth the upgraded price. I have had the 8 ounce before and it was delicious so probably should have stuck with it. House pino noir with the meal was very good.
