Voted "The Best Newcomer" restaurant at the recent May 2023 Food Reader Awards, The Farm Table is all about taking food off the farm & into the fire, celebrating the simplicity of beautiful ingredients grown, reared, caught & crafted on our doorstep.

We aim to get as much from our farm onto your table as possible and if it’s not from our farm it’s from our vibrant community of like-minded artisan food producers, farmers & fisherman who share our passion.

Open everyday 12pm-3pm for lunch and evenings on Thursday, Friday & Saturday 6pm-9pm

Exeter University Graduation 2024 - open for lunch and evenings from Monday 15th - Saturday 20th July for graduation celebrations.

Absolutely loved it. Food and service were top notch. Ambience and decor perfect, smart yet relaxing. Will definitely come back. Can’t wait to try the pizza.

Always happy staff and environment. Food was nice but Sunday roast seemed to very over done. Veg and potatoes were soggy. Not the best.

Great food and fantastic service from our waitress. Friendly and helpful and very accommodating of our friend who is gluten intolerant. Kitchen went above and beyond to make sure she didn’t feel left out of having a proper Sunday roast.

The staff and the restaurant were fantastic! We went for Sunday lunch and two of us opted for the roast beef which did not disappoint! The roast beef was fantastic and also cooked rare to our liking, all of the other ingredients were also amazing and this would have been a 5* review if there was a little more veg! The table next to us complained about this on the day. We had a few very small carrots, a few pieces of roast beetroot as well as a few pieces of celeriac it just felt like we should have had some leaves of some sort! It was however very very good. My daughter ate a pizza which was also very good, we will go again and would definitely look at another roast but I may check the veg situation first!

Fantastic, friendly service which is so rare, and quick service too. The food was beautiful, both the wood fired pizzas and the ala carte. In all honesty I did not expect the food or the service to be anywhere near the standard it was. A dangerous local find as will be coming back often!

Great place to meet friends and family. Informal with excellent, tasty food. Our table had lamb rump, sqid, crab, ice cream and rhubarb sponge with clotted cream. Waiters were friendly and helpful. All in all a good experience. Only downside was finding the Farm Table; poor sign posting.

We had a lovely time. The service was excellent- knowledgeable, engaging and professional. The menu was great although I was disappointed the turbot had been in such demand and was finished! One of our diners was vegetarian and they loved the cauliflower. Wines were wonderful although especially as I am a burgundy fan.

Our 3rd visit & certainly won't be our last. This is such a well designed restaurant which is a pleasure to walk into. The staff are very friendly & efficient & despite a full restaurant looked after our table of 7 wonderfully well with a special mention to the young Irish young lady, Alice I think.

Was a different experience from the other restaurants in the complex. Staff very helpful, menu had just the right amount of choice, portions were just right and not over-facing. A good evening out.

Dart’s Farm is probably the country’s finest farm shop, and we’re regulars for lunch and shopping, so it’s no surprise that our first dinner at the Farm Table didn’t disappoint! Superb ultra-local food, excellently cooked, and served amid a stylish but relaxed ambiance. We shared the Tomahawk Steak (also a first for us) and it really was an explosion of flavour in the mouth. A fabulous lemon tart (with brûlée top) and the famous Dart’s gelato were our desserts, and both were a great foil to the gelatinous steak. Just to cap off a lovely experience, we were delighted to find that the wonderful Karolina (previously at Mickey’s Beach Bar (Michael Caines)) in Exmouth is now working here. Front-of-house staff don’t get better than Karolina, so naturally the service here is as friendly and attentive as anyone could wish! We’ll be back. Soon!

Amazing farm house food that is fresh and tasty. We stopped by to charge our Tesla on route to Cornwall and this couldn’t have been a better spot. I highly recommend the steak! Pizza was lovely too, straight from the fire oven.

Delicious wholesome fresh food, especially if you care about what you eat. Nothing is too much trouble. Tom the Head Chef is extremely skilled and runs a very happy team which feeds down from the food to the service. It’s a must if you haven’t been. We shall be back again and again. If a restaurant is full of happy customers midweek lunchtime that tells you how good it is. Great buzz about the place. We completely enjoyed the foodie experience.

Had Charcuterie board at £20, the meat was nice but not amazing, the bread was stale & no butter to help make it palatable & the ‘salad’ was just a few tired leaves. Are just leaves a salad?? I also had a rhubarb & mint cocktail which tasted like a mocktail & definitely didn’t taste of rhubarb. The ambience is great, nice place to wonder & buy odd bits, cheese & meat counters are excellent but restaurant food is very poor.

Had an awful Mother’s Day meal at Darts Farm restaurant. £10 more expensive than the cafe. Had a phone call mid week prior to Mother’s Day requesting we pre order our meals. Only 1 choice of meat for the roast - beef or beef! Caller couldn’t tell me what was on the regular menu but said I could look on line and then proceeded to tell me that the menu was changing the next day. On the actual day the roast was luke warm with barbecue cabbage and the mushroom wellington was nothing special- the worst Mothers Day meal ever!

Brilliant attentive service. The food was good but could have been hot, unfortunately the beef, potatoes, yorkshire pudding was luke warm. Not enough gravy on the plate, ordered extra and that did go part way to warming up the food. At £26 per serving the food should have been hot. Delicious beef, all the vegetables were delicious, shame there was no cauliflower cheese and the yorkshire was too hard. The chocolate mousse was amazing and such a generous portion served with a good hot latte :-) I would still recommend to a friend, I just think that this was an occasion and therefore restaurants don't always present their best selfs with big numbers to get through. The pizza's looked delicious,

Great service as always. A few minor points re food - steak did contain a bit more fat than the diner expected & one dish had a bit of a delay. Both very unusual for the restaurant and did not cause any major issues.
