This place was a gem to find! I first saw it in Instagram and their drinks and ambiance is what drew me the most. Once there, I fell in love with everything else. The place was super nice, the service was BEYOND superb and the food was OMG. Me and my friends ordered the boar pasta, pork tenderloin, chicken marsala, and the seared chicken. All of them were so so good and well served. I'll be coming back here next time I'm in town for sure!

Such an epic fail on every level, I don't even know where to start. In the future, please do not open for an expected busy Mothers Day if you are short staffed, are going to run out of food at 1:00, or have a bad attitude about your chosen profession. Your predecessors did a much better job.

Unfortunately, we had the worst brunch experience here for Mother’s Day. Service was incredibly slow, food and drinks took a long time to be delivered, and even water cups were not filled. The food was bland, basic, and not at all worth the $75 fixed price. The “brunch” came with a small scone, a side salad, an omelet or eggs Benedict with potatoes, and a dessert. Our reservation was for noon and we arrived about 10 minutes early. Our entrees were not served until after 2pm. The waitress told us the kitchen was “slammed,” while another woman told us there “was an issue in the kitchen.” Regardless, there was no reason we should have to wait over 2 hours for an order. We were also seated outside, so were hot and hungry only to be disappointed when our food finally arrived. We ordered various omelets and an eggs Benedict, plus drinks. The waitress seemed unfamiliar with drink offerings. The omelets were small, and mainly egg with very little filling. The were only a few potatoes and they tasted like they had no seasoning at all. The eggs Benedict was basic, at best. Oddly, the entree came with more salad (without dressing). We were informed they ran out of one dessert (the espresso crème brûlée), so the only option was blueberry bread pudding or nothing. We had high hopes for Mother’s Day brunch at The Exchange 1874. However, it was the worst brunch I have ever had and extremely overpriced for the food that was served. I will not be coming back to this restaurant ever again.

Went on Mother’s Day. Only 2 options for brunch ( omelette or Benedict) no price on menu/ 178 dollars for 2 people for eggs.

We had balcony seating above bar. Waiter stated dinner would not arrive before main if we ordered right away. Didn’t want dinner before appetizer finished. So we did. We also asked for (2nd) drinks to arrive WITH dinner and we would probably want another still. 2/3 through dinner drinks hadn’t yet arrived. Since on balcony, wait staff doesn’t check in in unless delivering. My husband told waiter when drinks finally arrived that this was very poor service. He never does that! Waiter stammered and said they were busy… then comes back when we’re done and says his manager told him to comp drinks we didn’t have. Perhaps they should have comped ones that were so late. We had a to go order which we had asked to not include salmon. It did. Had to be redone, but think they just took out salmon and didn’t add any other fish. But, food was delicious. Service, no.

My husband and I brought our mom's here for an early Mother's Day celebration. I mistakenly booked an outdoor table on a 92 degree day. Unfortunately, they did not have any other options as their upstairs AC was broken and it was stifling up there (which was provided as an "option" to us). When we were told we were sitting outside, they mentioned that the misters would be on. The misters turned out to be broken and they couldn't turn them on. They were "out of" iced tea and lemonade (at 5:30PM on a Saturday evening). The waitress then miraculously found some iced tea and while bringing an iced tea and a coke to our table, proceeded to spill the iced tea and coke all over my mother-in-law. She was wearing a brand new outfit and a white sweater. We were very kind about the spill and understanding, however, when the manager came over, she made a comment about "at least it's not wine" and then walked away. After treating the stains after we got home (it's been washed more than 3 times), the tea is still in the sweater. A comped dessert or even the drinks that were spilled, would've been nice. The food is at best a 5/10. The biggest issue is that it doesn't come with any real "sides". The filet is $54 and does not come with potatoes or any starch at all. Some of my family actually went home hungry, even after our bill (for a party of 6 total) came to almost $400 (without alcohol). The prices are extremely high for the amount of food you're getting. You can get better steak and sides at Prime Table in Stockton, or even Ruth's Chris. The whole experience was disappointing to say the least. We felt terrible for our mom's who we were trying to treat to a nice dinner and dining experience. I'm not sure if/when we'll be back. The whole night left a bad taste in our mouths. My brother and father said they would never return.

Through the food tasted outstanding. The kitchen forgot our salads and the food took forever to come out. We had appetizers and mains. We were at the restaurant for nearly 2 hours. The kitchen needs to improve on getting the food to the tables and this will be a great place to dine.
