Service was great and prompt, the food for the most part was excellent. We had a variety of roasts which were delicious even though the chicken was slightly dry. Overall I would highly recommend

Great vibe, delicious food and friendly staff. Varied menu with some interesting options - the venison shepherd’s pie was very tasty.

Booked a last minute table as we were in the area on Sunday afternoon, the reviews were good so we had high hopes and I have to say, it was as good as everyone said. The Sunday menu is simple and uncomplicated with a specials board. I was sooo impressed with the roast - one of the best we have had out in a long time. Our waitress Jo was lovely, welcoming and went above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Really nice pub. We always drive past but havn’t gone in for years and I’m so pleased we did! The service is second to none. The roast was delicious and reasonable and we all had a lovely Sunday afternoon!!

I was a little disappointed. The salt & pepper squid starter was good but the garlic mayo was hugely overpowering. The seabass main course was massively over-flavoured and I don't think the seabass was all that fresh. I had a sloe gin cocktail at the start of the meal and I wasn't that keen on it - wish I'd chosen something different. The wine was lovely.

Very disappointing visit ! A few items on menu unavailable . Ordered a Camembert starter to share and immediately asked for more toasts to dip in as there were 3 of us . They took so long to arrive we had finished the cheese !! Ordered three roast dinners - pretty poor ! Roast potatoes were cooked from frozen - and not even a good brand ☹️. Gravy for pork and beef was the same . Veg very bland - tasteless . We will not go back to this pub ☹️Poor Show !

Impressive location (ample easy parking), matched by internal decor. Service could not be faulted, very attentive. Catered for different tastes as meeting friends for breakfast. Food was lovely - all empty plates at the end!

I am allergic to cheese and this was not shown on the menu and when it was presented to me the fish dish was covered with cheese and advised then that there was cheese in the mix. This resulted in my having to chose an alternative and my companion had to wait until my new dish arrived, although I believe that his dish was recooked.

A lovely atmosphere, great food and the staff were polite and very helpful. We brought two friends with us and we all enjoyed the meal. Only disappointment was the lack of sweets as most were not available as they had run out, this was at 7pm on a Saturday.

A reasonably busy Sunday afternoon. We asked for water for the table that never arrived. Ordered a main course that took over an hour to arrive with no apology, I had to chase the waiting staff for an update. Food quality was average, not worth the £19.50, the beef was not as pink and tender as I would have expected. Did not bother with dessert.

A lovely pub with fantastic staff. The food was generally good however the lamb special was not good value as there was only two cutlets that was advertised as a "rack of lamb" and circa £30. The steak on the other hand was perfectly cooked and worth the price. Overall a lovely night out and I would definitely recommend.
