Located on the corner of 3rd Avenue South & Demonbreun, The Diner is the crown jewel of Downtown Nashville’s SoBro district. We had two dishes – one salmon and the mahi-mahi. Both came with green beans, which had the correct amount of crunch. The cheese and grits that came with the mahi-mahi was outstanding. Two wines one Merlot and the other Pinot noir. Yes, I know Reds, but we enjoyed them prior to the meal in front of one of the open air tables Floor 4 which allowed us to look over part of the city. It got a little noisy at times when the party buses came by but otherwise Quiet.

We were recommended The Diner is a must! Unfortunately, for us, it was a must not return. First, all windows and doors were open, and bit was cold! The menu is very limited. Chicken and biscuits were passable. The biscuits were the size of an Oreo. The server played with her hair the entire time. It may be a landmark but that’s all I can say about it.

Took a party of 10 and would have preferred to be at a table not a large booth but it all worked out ok. Food and service were good.

We went for brunch. The food was outstanding. The chicken and waffles was second to none. The drinks wers very tasty. The Diner is worth a visit. By the way, the service was great!

The service was terrible, food was cold and just average, the majority of the food you could tell was just premade and then reheated. The views are great but the food and service are not worth the prices.

Food great, key lime pie martini was phenomenal, views great. Multi floor restaurant with coffee shop on first floor with lattes etc not available on upper floors, so you have to go down and order it yourself and bring it back up to your table. Would def go back.

Great location. Sat upstairs on a game day. Windows open and fun atmosphere. Food was good with nice variety to pick from. Very fast service at this place.

6th floor, our breakfast go to place. Service was good and the Bloody Mary was made to order.

We needed a last-minute reservation and the diner had seating. The food was great. The waitress was attentive. We enjoyed the visit. The only thing that could’ve been better is it could’ve been a little cleaner like the table was sticky in the middle, and it was very reminiscent of a diner.

We ordered their basic Diner Scramble. The dish is large with potatoes, scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. I liked everything but the potatoes which were very plain.

We had a great time at The Diner! We ate at the bar on the 6th floor on a Monday night. The windows were open, and the ambiance was perfect -- friendly and lively, without being too rowdy to enjoy drinks and food. We had a few drinks, and then ordered the arugula and watermelon salad, which was fresh and light, and then I ordered the airline chicken, and my husband ordered the Dynermite Roll. Both were excellent, and we were completely stuffed.

9pm on a Sunday night, seated on 2nd floor. Not busy, but for a table of 4, we were there 2 hours for a simple meal. Food was really good and drinks were mixed well, but feel it took longer than it should have. Is well off of Broadway, so that busy atmosphere isn't an issue. Would go to The Diner again but would request 1st floor for better atmosphere and hopefully faster service. 2nd floor was quiet, more upscale feeling and lacking all around.

Every table on our floor had a wonderful view and the balcony gave off.the perfect mid day breeze. The food was amazing and the experience was so worth it! Can't wait to go back!!

Great spot for an affordable, quality meal. Love the diner vibes. Food was good, as expected from a diner. Friendly, helpful service. No issue getting a reservation for 9.

What an incredible experience! I highly recommend, it doesn’t matter which floor you sit on they’re all so unique and the service is outstanding. Our meals were fantastic. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience while in Nashville!

The shrimp and grits were delicious. The biscuits were a little stale. But, overall, I would eat there again.

We were not happy with the service at all. The waitress was not pleasant. She didn't even ask me if I wanted a box for my leftover food. She never took away our plates. The floor had old food on it that we had to ask for it to be taken away. Unfortunately we were not impressed.

We had 9 people in our group, and the Diner accommodated us really well! It's a really cute atmosphere with great views of the downtown. I got the spicy chicken and waffles and thought it was wonderful! It's pretty spicy so be ware if you are sensitive to spice. We all liked the food, enjoyed the ambiance, and thought it was a wonderful location. Great service as well. Highly recommend.

My friends and I went here for dinner while in Nashville. It wasn't anything exceptional and quite literally the definition of mid. The room we ate in was nice because we had the whole thing to ourselves. However, the food, drinks, and service were not impressive and the restaurant itself was freezing cold. I would not go back.

My wife and I ate on the third floor and had a great table overlooking the city. The cocktails were excellent and the food was very good. Our server Nima was very kind and did a wonderful job even though she had only been working at the Diner for a small amount of time.

This was a welcomed break from the loud, party atmosphere in Nashville. Food was really good and the view was spectacular. We were seated inside, but in an enclosed porch setting which was really pretty. You must visit the bar!

The restaurant atmosphere was nice. The food had way to much Pepper the mashed potatoes had clumps of pepper. The gumbo was over peppered having lived in Louisiana I don’t mind spice but this was over done. Our food came out in like 5 mins total time in restaurant was 22 mins.
