Located on the corner of 3rd Avenue South & Demonbreun, The Diner is the crown jewel of Downtown Nashville’s SoBro district. Our 6 story restaurant boasts six unique floors, each with gorgeous views of downtown. Our chef-driven menu features everything from traditional breakfast fare and lunch specialties, to mouth watering steaks, exquisite seafood, Southern home-style dishes, Italian classics, freshly shucked oysters, and sushi.
Each floor offers our guests a truly unique dining experience. For those looking for breakfast to go, stop by the 1st floor coffee shop to enjoy premium Lavazza coffee beverages and fresh baked pastries.     Food was OK, I expected better given the prices. We were seated in the same room as a bachelorette party and they were LOUD. Wine was good and the service was excellent. It's a few blocks off Broadway and was not busy on this particular Saturday night. I also recommend both Etch and the Farmhouse, which are within one block of The Diner - food is more inventive at those places.

    We've gone to the Diner many times, and this visit was disappointing. The food was poorly prepared, way overcooked chicken (in the wraps) and grilled salmon. The only bright spots were generous glasses of decent house wine and good gumbo.

    Food quality and service was good and the coffee was great on the 5th floor. The cook on the food, however, was definitely not hot of the griddle or grill. My wife and I had the Scrambler breakfast. Food was a little warmer than luke warm, but not much. Couldn't even melt the butter on my toast, even when placed butter side down on top of the barely warm eggs. Seems like The Diner is resting on its reputation. Likely won't go back.

    Yummy food, great service, & reasonable prices, & location make The Diner an excellent choice for drinks or quick meal before or after a symphony performance! There is a fun, laid back atmosphere too! My only wish is that they would expand the menu a bit like even a soup of the day.

    I ordered the rattlesnake pasta and when it came out it was very dry looking with hardly any chicken. I sent it back and had it remade. It was better but not as good as the last time I was there.

    View was cool but food for a birthday dinner was subpar, didn’t not like it but could have better options. All in all it was good

    Greeter was horrible on 20 May. Listless and then dismissive. He wouldn’t offer upper floor seating (which was empty) since we did not have a reservation. We made an Open Table reservation on the spot then were offered upper floor seating. Food was mediocre. I would not go back.
