The Dawson Is a new Bar and Restaurant that is located in the heart of midtown just off 5th ave, walking distance to Rockefeller centre, Radio City, St Patricks Cathedral, Bryant Park. We are a family owned Bar & Restaurant serving Fine Fare, Craft Beers & Libations. We host private events on our mezzanine level with custom packages. Come join us to sample some of Chef Eduardo Villegas signature dishes like Brick Chicken, Braised Short rib, Mansion burger, Ricotta & Sweet potato flatbreads and much more!

It's a nice enough place for the area to get a decent meal and a decent price. The staff is amiable and willing but highly disorganized. Very friendly but timing was off; it didn't feel like everyone was on the same page. The food is decent but not great. We had the deviled eggs (the jalapeno was spicy but the rest was under seasoned). The flatbread (goat cheese, pear and fig) was lacking. Flat flavors, nothing special. We ordered the truffle fries with our meals (the burger and the tuna melt). The fries looked like the last dregs from the very bottom of the basket...no truffle aroma AT ALL. The tuna melt was the only great thing we tried.

We sat upstairs for dinner and loved the ambiance. We shared their brussel sprouts and cauliflower bites and their fig and goat cheese flatbread. All of it was cooked to perfection and had great flavor. Our server was also very attentive and pleasant to deal with. It’s not very busy on the weekends so we got in with no wait.

First time trying this place. Food was amazing. Great servers. They gave my friend a free birthday dessert which was so nice and appreciated. Definitely making a return visit!

They give you a lot of food, which I appreciate because I felt the amount matched the price value. The bang bang shrimp was just okay, though. Not something I would order again. My salad should have had Fennel, but there was none placed on it.
