The server and the food was fantastic. The noise level however was annoying. It took away from everything.

This was our first time at The Davidson. We had heard (and read) very positive things about it and it far exceeded our high expectations. The food and service were of the highest quality in every respect. The restaurant is loud for our taste. Wish there are a section set aside for people who prefer something quieter.

Eggplant appetizer was excellent. Roasted vegetable salad was excellent. Main courses were disappointing. Veal was surprisingly tough. Scallops had so much butter on the plate that most of the butternut purée dissolved into and was indistinguishable from the butter.

First ever visit. Tried: - Clams Casino - Fondue - Beef carpaccio - Brick Chicken - Pork Chop - Veal - Scallops Overall, there was no real star of the show and everything was "yeah, it's pretty good." Carpaccio was probably the best thing we tried. That and the brick chicken was solid. Pork Chop, overcooked, dry and mealy. Felt like a dish I used to often make at home and was nothing special. Scallops were over-seasoned. Nothing else stood out as bad or great, just kinda okay. Feel like a lot of the dishes you could probably get at an upscale diner for 1/3 of the price. Ambiance was legit, tho. High energy. Loud. Cool design features. Service was good, though I don't think I've ever heard more silverware dropped by bussers/servers...probably 5 or 6 incidents, which was weird. Overall, it's not a place I'd run back to. The location is cool, right on the square, and, if you want to see and be seen, go there. Or if you have visitors from out of town, it's a hip place. There were a lot of professionals there. You'll likely be underwhelmed by the food, however, as, out of all the things we tried, none of them were good enough to come back for or recommend. There's better places to go.

First time to dine here and every aspect of our experience was fabulous! The Moroccan Eggplant appetizer is excellent! Food delicious and cooked perfectly (Chicken au vin and Steak Frites) Salads have a wonderful presentation and fresh flavor. They are possibly working on a dessert menu since currently not available.

Eliza was our server and we were acknowledged immediately with a glass of champagne for our 39th wedding anniversary. We sat on the outdoor are and it was great to people watch during the Taste of Cincinnati! My husband and I decided to split a number of the dishes. We split the Yellowtail appetizer and the excellent eggplant appetizer-it was oversalted but we still enjoyed it with the grilled bread. We split the Italian chopped salad and the scallop entree-this entree had 7 perfectly cooked scallops over haricot verts and a lovely puree. We ordered the delicata squash and kale appetizer-probably our least favorite item. I had the gin and tonic special cocktail they had on the menu it was very good. Highly recommend!

Service was great. The limited menu was a surprise. The homemade pasta was good and the serving modest. Nicoise salad was very good.

This was my first visit of many to come. Loved the food. Loved the wine list. The roasted eggplant was a memorable experience. Portions were generous and the pricing more than fair. Do yourself a favor and try this new and impressive restaurant!
