Our Lounge is conveniently located on the third floor lobby level of The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans.

We welcome Walk-Ins Daily for our Lounge. Reservations are required for Tea Service.

Live Entertainment featuring Jeremy Davenport:
Known for his unique jazz style. Jeremy Davenport specializes in the storytelling standards and an entertainment style associated with the Rat Pack.

Lovely venue for afternoon tea. We celebrated a birthday and were given the royal treatment. We were not rushed and were able to leisurely enjoy each course. The tea was delicious and we were served a wide assortment of savory and sweet treats. Overall, this was a fun and elegant experience and we had a wonderful time.

Server was kind but service was very slow due to staffing and her being assigned to a large group of 10 next to us. This resulted in delays, lukewarm tea, and excessive noise. The food was just mediocre although we appreciated them taking dietary needs into consideration. Hotel was nice but they need to reconsider the location of afternoon tea as it wasn’t a relaxing experience compared to similar events in other parts of the world. We likely wouldn’t come again unless issues are resolved.

Afternoon tea would benefit from fresher menu selections and more balance between sweet and savory options. Some items suffered texturally due to storage.

I agree with other reviews that the tea sandwiches were very dry. They just didn’t taste fresh. It was still a fun way to spend the afternoon. The harp music was lovely.

Went for the Papa Noel Tea. So fun. Great service. Unlimited champagne. Multiple tea selections. Particularly liked the chai tea. Miniature sandwiches were very tasty as were the scones and pastries. Can’t wait for Xmas 2024.

I understand this was a children's event, but children were running wild and screaming around the lounge. I could not believe this was being tolerated. Service was also terrible. We just wanted to get tea over with and were told we had to wait until all the children at other tables were seated to be served. When the food was brought out it was on large stainless trays - the type used in the kitchen. Couldn't believe this being The Ritz. This presentation was something I would expect at a fast-food restaurant. This was an annual tradition for our family, and I think it will be the last.

The Papa Noel tea far exceeded my expectations. The complimentary champagne and extensive tea selections (hot chocolate for the kids too!) made for perfect beverages to accompany tea sandwiches, scones and desserts. The staff were friendly and eager and made sure the kids had their special food selections and accommodated our food allergy well. Papa Noel interacted with the kids, brought a gift and let the kids hug and take pictures with him. The beautiful harp music set the tone for a festive and peaceful holiday atmosphere. The seating was comfy sofas and chairs. We are already looking forward to next year!

This is my fifth time at Papa Noel Holiday Tea in the past 15 years. The decor and ambiance are lovely but the quality of the food served this year was terrible -- the finger sandwiches were all dry (like sitting outside for hours uncovered before being served), the scones were also dry, the food served to kids, while very pretty looking, was not edible, my son and other kids in attendance barely touched their desert, the quality of the food offered could does not even fool little kids. Ritz Carlton should do better with the food offered. The service was below average.

The food was horrible , frozen, stale and literally the size for a mouse. We have come to Xmas tea for years, this was a disappointment and we won’t be back. At 75$ per person plus 22% tip added id hope for prepared food. The massive hotel bar in the tea room was shut down as well with claim of no employees for the day. Unheard of for the ritz. It was sad.

Our experience this year was far superior to last year’s experience. Terriell, our server, was the best tea server I’ve ever had at any tea venue within the USA.

My family attended the Papa Noel Tea and it was great. Beautiful decorations, nice ambience, beautiful harp music for Christmas. We got pictures with Santa, and the food and beverages were great. Can’t complain about anything and I think we will be back next year.

Festive for Christmas tea. Beautiful decorations. Tea area is mixed in with lounge so can be noisy and interfere with tea ambience and lovely harp music. They need a partition or screens to better divide the spaces.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at the Papa Noel tea last year and couldn't wait to return. Unfortunately, the service we had this year was disappointing and not what we've come to expect from the event or the Ritz-Carlton's model of service. My daughter's food was forgotten and the tea was almost over before she received it. It appeared Santa left the event prior to visiting our table and I had to let a server know that they'd forgotten us for that, too. I'm not sure if it was the position of our table or something else, but it was no less disappointing.

We enjoyed high tea here. It was a grand experience. The setting and service was excellent. Harpist played quietly in background. Good and tea were very nice.

The service was excellent I mentioned on my reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and they came out with a cupcake and sang to my friend. They also had a harpist which just made the ambiance very lovely

The loudest high tea I have ever experienced. Not enough servers, but they did the best they could. They had a harpist that you could barely hear, I was almost embarrassed for her. The food was just ok, nothing amazing.

The high tea experience was great and they made it extra special for my young child also. The tea sandwiches were delicious as well as the pastries. Definitely get the champagne!

Fantastic event to go get high tea for a special occasion over the Davenport lounge. Definitely something to check out if you’re looking for something a little different. Service is excellent

The Papa Noel tea is a wonderful tradition. It is not gentile - I was a little surprised at the noise level. But the service was great and we got quality time with Santa.

Christmas Tea with my granddaughter. Our waitress was very courteous and efficient. Food is a little gourmet for tea food but I guess you expect that at the Ritz:). The ambience was comfortable and nice. I have been bringing my granddaughter, now 10, for years and she loves decorating the cookie and the visit from Pere Noel.
