It was a few years since our last visit. We enjoyed the experience. Our waiter, Robbie, was very knowledgeable about the menu which was great. He also was excellent with the service. We loved the food. We will be back!

Everything was very good and what you would expect from a place that comes so well recommended. We loved the selection on the menu and thought it was very well done. We had a great bottle of wine and very tasty cocktails to start along witha couple of very well prepared starters. My expectations were high and they met my expectations for the most part. The one exception was the beef with the chimichurri. What is normally a slam dunk was cooked well done. This is not my preference or anyone I know but apparently it is for the chef. We asked the server if this was the way the chef wanted it presented, questioning the temperature. She replied with an affirmative putting us at odds. Everything else was wonderful. Our server was very good and professional. Comfortable seating and ultimately a very good experience. I highly recommend this restaurant because they have their act together and the chances of having a imperfect meal are low. I'd rate this restaurant a 9.1 out of 10.

This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Atlanta. The food was amazing and the concept is so unique! Sexy atmosphere as well for a great date night! We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed the experience overall. Will return to experience new destination menu. Food has great flavor, ambience is beautiful, service was very good. Please note that the auto gratuity is included for all tabs open including at the bar if you order a few drinks even if you're solo.

Parking was a little hard to find other than that Jordan our server was amazing, but it was my second time coming definitely coming again. Enjoyed it and was great.

First visit will hopefully be the first of many! Drinks were great, particularly the tranquilopa with Paraguayan rum. I debated between chicken milanesa and the Chilean sea bass and was glad that my friendly server Monica recommended the latter - it was incredibly flavorful, encrusted in pistachio with an apricot glaze and dark yellow couscous. Healthier eating does NOT have to be boring! Maybe a little less healthy but still wonderful was the Turkish coffee cheesecake with more pistachio. My new favorite place in Atlanta - really not sure how I never made it until now, especially now that I know it's directly across from the Midtown MARTA station. WORLD CLASS.

The Consulate was fantastic! We loved the creativity of the menu and the experience. Also loved the decor throughout the restaurant. Our favorite dishes were the Paraguayan lobster empanada and the Kaukau shrimp. The cocktails and wine were also great, and we had friendly, approachable and helpful servers. We will definitely be back for another trip around the world!

If you are contemplating, stop and make a reservation. We went during Paraguay visa special, and it was one of the best experiences we have had. After a long time, I found myself planning my next visit to a restaurant. The ambiance is great, and so is the service. The restaurant is one of those - you smell the promise of great food the moment you enter and that promise was delivered 100%! Note: The restaurant will delegate the parking if you have parked in the adjacent deck. Your server will talk to you about it, but it is a good-to-know!

Yes, our validated parking deck has an entry on West Ptree. Look for the giant 10. Park any where on 1 level, ignore any signs of time limits. That only applies prior to 5pm. We are glad you enjoyed your visit, and we look forward to your return!

Love the concept of featuring one country every 90 days. we had Paraguay and the food was excellent. Excellent service! the ambiance is wonderful. everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. My husband had the Bori Bori chicken stew dish that was to me the ultimate comfort dish with cornmeal dumplings and a nice cumin/taco flavor broth. just heavenly. I had the chicken Milanese with this amazing cheese sauce and caramelized type onions.we also got the grilled vegetable skewers with the chefs homemade chimichurri. Just deliciousness. Wonderful adventure - cannot wait to go back and enjoy the next country they pick.

Horrible!! The so called “owner” Douglas took 15 minutes out of our time to discuss why I did not like my food AFTER bringing another dish and I didn’t request to have it taken off the bill. He was completely argumentative. We were not told the kitchen was closed after ordering our appetizers. Food was okay, will not return based on customer service and poor response from Douglas, he ruined a dinner with all the unnecessary. Douglas placed a meal for me as I requested even though the kitchen was closed,good enough. Obviously the so called owner should take management 101 classes. We will not be returning to the consulate due to the extremely poor handling of a simple situation. Customer service is #1, never returning. Again you need management 101 skills. I never requested it taken off the bill!

You wanted a dish removed from your bill. Our policy is that any correctly prepared dish - will be on a bill. Once your Jollof Rice dish arrived, you dining partner seemed surprised it was a "rice dish", and wanted something else. To accommodate your group, I kept the kitchen open past 10:45pm until your second dish was selected and prepared. Yes, I am the "so called" owner and perhaps being a native New Yorker is to blame, but we will never be bullied by a demanding guest. Ever. Barking demands, and scowling do not work here. We are not bound by any investors or shareholders which is why we have the ability to not bow to the antics that many get away with at other restaurants. We tried our best to make you happy, but we have always known...we are not here for everybody.

Listen don think about It. This is my absolute favorite restaurant in the whole World. This particular visit I was absolutely amazed at how the staff went over and above to accommodate my request. I was taking my Suga pudding out on a romantic date for her birthday and It started with dinner at the Consulate. I called in advance and asked the hostess for a specific seat in the house (I forgot to get her name) whoever It was on Friday evening you are the best! When I called she couldn’t make any promises because It happened to be one of the best seats in the house. I arrive a little early to drop off some flowers and asked the hostess to set them on the table as an element of surprise for my Suga Pooh lol. So she finally arrives and the hostess escorts us to our table and when I say they did exactly what i asked. I was happier than a fat kid in a cake shop. Finally we sit down and had the most amazing experience with our server a Cindi. She make the experience top notch. She made fantastic suggestions because I was so into my date I really did not have time to look over the menu. We started with the Spicy Plantains. Listen this had to be one of three best appetizers I ever tasted. Our entrees were superbly prepared. We could not have been more satisfied. To top It off the owner stopped to make sure we were having the best experience possible. The ambiance in the place is super sexy. Stop what you are doing and get here. You won’t be disappointed at ALL!!🔥🔥🔥

I came specifically for the lobster empanadas. They were $40 and gross. We didn’t even eat 1/2 just picked the lobster out. The tibs( I’m Ethiopian) was 6/10 and the steak with chimichurri was 8/10. That was my first experience and don’t plan on coming back. Atmosphere was cute, drinks were good, bartender was friendly.

That is surprising to hear. The Lobster Empanadas have been very popular, even with the staff. The Lamb Tibs have been on the menu for 5 years due to accolades of our guests, many of which being Ethiopian as well. Our Chef goes so far as to get our Berbere Spice from Yeshi Mart, which I am sure you are familiar with.

Food, service, drinks, and ambiance were wonderful as usual. I know no other high-in restaurant in Atlanta that will leave you feeling full after only one entree. For the price, the value is incredible. I definitely recommend trying their rotating cocktail menu.

Outstanding in every respect! We both ordered off the "Visa" menu, which currently features dishes from Paraguay. Can't wait to go back. A real gem in the heart of Midtown.

The ambiance was creative and eclectic just like the menu. I love the variation of the menu, inspired by a highlighted country. The service was great and our server, Cindy was very knowledgeable about the menu. The only downfall was the restaurant is not visible from the street and GPS was not helpful finding the restaurant or parking.

Great server, informative. The guy who looks like tia and Tamera’s brother. Food was good but not worth the price in our opinion. The drinks were nice, the place looks cool inside, and it can be casual with friends or intimate. Would come back for a snack and drinks.

Great food and drinks. Didn’t love our server man-splaining the menu to us. Would definitely go back!

Server, Robert, was excellent. My country specific starter was very good. My partner ordered ribs that were very tasty when he could get to the meat under the “char”. The waiter asked the chef to redo them and were surprised by the answer. Basically, you pay for them as you ordered them. After the waiter agreed the ribs were more charred than normal the chef/kitchen agreed to remake the dish at a half order. I generally give everyone the benefit of the doubt. In this case I am guessing the chef does many experimental dishes with the different countries they run into people who just don’t like what they ordered. Ingredients cost so understand. In our case, my partner liked the taste just wanted them to not be burnt on outside. The chef provided a half order with less char that were very good. However, with the number of dining options I doubt we will give the restaurant another chance.

A slight char is how the Cambodian Ribs are intended. We typically do not remove or adjust dishes that were prepared correctly. We decided to bend our rule that night. Having techniques in dishes that many may not be accustomed to, happens sometimes. We understand.
