The Common is a gastro-lounge where typical pub and comfort foods are elevated to uncommon heights. Our scratch kitchen offers seasonal menus with an emphasis on creativity and quality. Our dynamic culinary scene spotlights new trends, modern takes on refined classics, chef's choice features and pop up events.

We offer a fine selection of craft, small batch, local and imported beers as well as an innovative mix of herbal, vintage and modern cocktails, spirits and wines.

Set in a lounge style space with a vintage meets modern décor; our aim is to create a community based upon experiencing new food, music and culture in Edmonton. The multifaceted venue features an eclectic mix of electronic, indie, funk, hip hop, soul, classics and live music from local and worldwide artists.

    We stopped in before a hockey game. We had some cocktails and burgers. The burgers were excellent, and the fries were delicious. Would definitely return.

    Very nice place to listen to live music (most of the times really good), with a very good menu and nice ambient. A little bit noisy to me, but when the music is good, is really, really nice to enjoy good food while listening good jazz.

    We had the burger and a beer special and thought the burger was the best we have ever had and the homeade fries were delicious. Highly recommend.

    Really tasty and creative meal. Loved the zucchini guacamole! And a great collection of Alberta craft beers. The porter was like a beer coffee.

    We drive by all the time and went in for a date night. The food was so good and service and recommendations incredible. Thanks Micjey for great service. We will be back!

    Not a big fan of the new table set up for the jam. The horizontal table is harder for people to turn and see band and it feels like people behind you are breathing down your back. I do like the open space in right by the bar for people to stand.

    Limited menu but very good. Server had too many tables so service was a bit slow. Some show was going on downstairs and it was loud. Still a good place to go!

    Always love The Common!! They never miss on food or drinks, you can't go wrong with whatever you order whether you are their for food during the week or getting drinks and hanging out on the weekend!

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE The Common and everything about it. I'm really happy they started opening for lunch a couple days a week. The food is great.. the price is worth what your getting...and the staff are totally AWESOME. I won't ever stop coming to this place.

    This was my first time at The Common, as well as having a five course meal with drinking pairings, so I wasn't quite sure to expect. I will admit that the NYE dinner was more than what I would normally spend on a dinner for two, but it was well worth it. The food was absolutely delicious, incredibly friendly service and the chef was clearly very passionate about what he does. As each course was served, he came out to describe the food as well as a quick history of it and why he chose it. I've recommended it to my friends already, and will be going back in the near future.

    Their NYE dinner was an absolute blast for the tastebuds. The chef came out to announce each dish, both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink pairs were absolutely excellent. Can warmly recommend it and finishes up nicely at 9 so you can head out to other parties if need be!

    We went to celebrate a girl's Christmas night out. We loved the cocktails, the food was delicious and our hostess was so sweet. We felt so well taken care of and we certainly go back again!

    So glad the Common is open now for lunch. Love going for dinner and now lunch is an option. Meal was great. We had the soup starter (potato and dill) and it was delicious and hot. I had the patti melt; my entire reason for going as patti melts are one of my favourites and it did not disappoint. Hubby had the fish and chips. Just a heads up, the portions were generous and we probably could have done without the soup, but everything was delicious. Our server (Mickey) was attentive and pleasant without being intrusive. Another note, we attended on a Friday and it was busy for lunch so you may wish to make a reservation.

    The Common is always such a great place, we love going after the work day. The happy hour and daily specials are great deals and the atmosphere is always spot on, transitioning as it gets later to have louder music and a dance area, if you are looking for that.

    Great evening - came for the food and the house band and jam! The mac’n’cheese was so tasty and the spaghetti and meatballs was fabulous! Great service and incredible music!

    It was our first time going to the Common and we absolutely enjoyed our dinner. We went on a Tuesday so they had their Aperol spritz on special which was great. We ordered the devilled eggs to share, which were delicious. And we each had a different main which was just as delicious. Our server was very knowledgable and accommodating, and checked up on as often. I’m already looking forward to going back.
