The Cliffdiver serves coastal inspired Mexican food in a tropical surrounding meant to transport our guests to a beach resort on pacific coast of Mexico. The venue features a separate dining room and bar while also offering ample patio seating. Our menu features the ultra popular Lobster Tacos, Poke Tostadas and shrimp ceviche amongst other popular dishes. Our drinks include a variety of margaritas and tequilas as well as signature cocktails that such as an Añejo tequila based old fashioned (El Viejo) and a variety of local beers.

Took my family there for Mother’s Day. Food was great. Margaritas were excellent. Our servers were amazing. Just a small gem of a restaurant. Chips and salsa to die for!!!!

We come here pretty regularly as the food is outstanding (Lobster Enchiladas anyone?) Staff both in the front of the house and back did a great job with the huge crowds in Mother’s Day. Props to them! Food quality was great as always! We saw 2 other families we know who went based on our recommendation and loved it also. See you guys next time!

I loved this place. My only issue is that I could smell the cleaning solution the restaurant uses. It smelled like Fabrisioso(?) I will come back and sit outside.

Definitely a standout among all the Mexican restaurant options in Thousand Oaks. Particularly good fish offerings as well as cochinita pibil. Straddles the boundary between neighborhood casual and dress-up a bit for a special evening. The bar is separated from the dining rooms, so the noise level is refreshingly quiet at dinner.

When we arrived, the servers, who were also the hostesses insisted, we only had two in our party, when we clearly made the reservation for three. The front entrance of this restaurant seems like a kitchen door in the back. The inside of the restaurant looked nice, but the food was very mid, I probably will not go back again.

Our server was great but the kitchen took way too longing for out food and the bar too way to long to make our drinks.

Awesome spot for any occasion. Everything our party of 5 ordered was absolutely delicious including the cocktails. I discovered that there’s a bar area and upstairs private rooms as well. I didn’t realize this the time I came before. Definitely going to plan an event here one day.

I brought my family of six here on Friday for the first time. Even though I made a reservation and made a personal visit a couple of hours before my dining reservation to confirm a place to sit in the small dining room, when we arrived there was no table for us. There was a mistake made by staff and our table had been given to another party. The hostess and bartender could not have been more apologetic for the mess up on their part, and put us in their upstairs private room, which was just a weird place to sit and eat. BUT, despite these disappointments, the server could not have been more pleasant, and went out of her way to insure our food and drinks arrived promptly. A round of drinks was comped, which we did appreciate greatly, and the FOOD was delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place and I will come back. In perspective, with all the tragedy in the world right now, we are blessed to be able to eat out in safety, and a small inconvenience is really nothing to get upset about! Give The Cliffdiver a try.

surf turf fajita didn't have very much flavor and was not sizzling hot. Beans and rice was bland.for being Mexican food it just was not up to par.
