Established in 1965 on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California, The Classic Cat finds its place across from Tower Records and two doors down from The Viper Room. A supper club that reimagines the classic American restaurant experience, The Classic Cat offers a luxurious and intimate dining atmosphere where American cuisine, drinks, and entertainment intertwine, creating a truly unique venture. The energy of the venue transforms from spirited dinner service to a lively, high-energy lounge atmosphere late in the evening, complete with live entertainment and exclusive bottle service.

Dinner reservations allow up to 4 guests for 90 minutes, while parties of 5 or more are extended a 2-hour allotment. Kindly note that the complete party must be present to be seated, and we exclusively accept credit cards at our bar. -5 stars had a reservation and showed up to the restaurant to find out that it is completely shut down and closed due to vermin infestation. Didn’t get notified that this restaurant was closed.

we had a dinner reso for the this past saturday, showed up and it was closed due to rats and looked like it had been closed for a long time.... how was I able to book for 10 people when this is the case? very unhappy with this experience

Awful experience - we showed up and it was closed with ZERO outreach prior that they were closed due to VERMIN how disgusting. I even confirmed my reservation!

Overall a poor experience. Made a reservation a month in advance and made a deposit. Confirmed my reservation a day prior. When I got there, I was told I would be seated at the bar. Why wouldn’t somebody call me the day before and let me know that my reservation was going to be at a bar and not a table? Then I was told if the reservation that was set 30 minutes after me, did not show up then I would be seated at a table. This was my birthday dinner, so it was highly disappointing to be sitting at a bar with my guest, surrounded by a bunch of people instead of being at a table. Why make a reservation if you’re going to be at a bar? And again, why would the people that are coming in 30 minutes after me be reserved to a table? The food was also nothing to ride home about. Super overpriced for the quality. The service was just the bartender so I can’t speak too highly about that. The host didn’t try to accommodate at all when I stated that I was there for my birthday and was bothered that I made a reservation a month in advance and that I don’t want to be at the bar. There are plenty of other beautiful restaurants in LA that are worth going to. Don’t waste your time.

Such a fun place! Great ambience good music and yummy food and drinks! Would definitely recommend.

Great drinks with a vintage vibe. The food was also delicious, and the service was great. Recommend for a date night, girls night, or small group.

They did not mention their automatic gratuity on the bill. So our waitress was tipped double after I realized this. Our sliders came out 15 minutes before another guest’s pizza came out (they were all put in as entrees at the same time) sliders were already cold by the time they hit the table.
