The Chateau in Waltham serves diners classic Italian cuisine in a casual and friendly setting. The restaurant has an extensive menu that offers dishes to please meat-eaters as well as vegetarians. Appetizers include items such as toasted ravioli, meatballs and ricotta and fried or Rhode Island style calamari. Diners can also choose to start their meal with one of The Chateau’s many salad or soup options, such as the chopped salad or homemade minestrone.

Dinner options at The Chateau include sandwiches such as chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana or grilled Italian sausage, or pasta dishes such as spaghetti, penne and angel hair. Each pasta dish is served with your choice of tomato sauce, marinara or garlic and oil.

The food portions were very generous for the prices charged. Overall a good family restaurant that has been there for years. Nothing fancy or overpriced.

The Chateau is a family favorite. We have been going there since I was a kid and we love it every time. I don't even need to look at the menu any more. I get the same thing every time and it never disappoints. This most recent trip was with my wife and brother because he was up for a visit after moving away. Our server Nerry was great as always. He was very accommodating with my wife's food allergies and consulted with management and the chef for the safety of her order. He was great!. All in, you and your party will love The Chateau.

Wonderful dinner with family and 10 month old! Had the toasted ravioli, the trio special, chicken Parmesan, regular ravioli, and veal Francese. Excellent server! First time we have dined in. Highly recommend The Chateau!

We had a lovely meal with our grandchildren. I gave the noise level less than perfect but most of the noise was our table.

The food as always was great. The service we have had in the past has always been good, but on this visit the service was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced anywhere. We’ll still go back. Everyone has a bad day, just disappointed that we shared that bad day with the server

The service experience was very rushed. We had a 8 pm reservation and they were trying to rush as soon as we sat down. Asked for our order before giving us menus. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their dishes but before we could finish our dinners we were asked if they could clear our plates. Tip don’t got there close like an hour before closing if you want a relaxing meal.

The Chateau is an “old school” Italian restaurant, and there are not very many left. Food is traditional southern Italian and very good quality. I’ve been going there for years and it is always wonderful!

Excellent renditions of traditional, mostly Southern Italian fare. Red sauce was delicious and not at all acidic. Portions were generous. Veal Saltimbocca was toothsome and sported top-notch quality ingredients. This long-standing family-run Waltham establishment continues to be a totally reliable and reasonably priced alternative to other more pricey close-by establishments. Great for families as well as groups of friends looking for a casual venue with a delicious array of well-prepared offerings that won't break the bank. I'll definitely return!

I went with my family for Father’s Day. We made a 5:15pm reservation with OpenTable and we were seated quickly. Nery was our server and he was fantastic! He answered questions regarding the menu and was very attentive to our table. The food was delicious and we were able to get in and out before the huge Father’s Day dinner rush.

You have the best menu! Service was wonderful, however, your bartender is not the best. Drinks were not that good. Someone in my party returned his expresso martini!

The food was delicious even had some to take home!! Angel provided us with wonderful service. It is a nice local place with great atmosphere.
