At the Cartford Inn, we offer a brand of hospitality that is truly unique, hallmarked by an award-winning restaurant, boutique hotel, delicatessen and art gallery. Our location is enviable, with guests able to enjoy panoramic views of the Ribble Valley and Fylde countryside whilst dining. Our décor is quirky and eclectic, in keeping with our building’s 17th century heritage, but with a modernist twist.

Of course the main attraction is our 2-Rosette winning, Michelin recommended restaurant. Run by head chef Chris Bury, we offer the finest quality food without the fuss, in an atmosphere that is warm and unpretentious. Expect a discernible French influence, evidenced by our renowned French onion soup – a dish that is well worth a visit in its own right.

Service on arrival was fantastic, as we had travelled an hour and had got there a bit early. No problem seated an order taken with no fuss. The food was superb, the pork belly roast was fantastic and my wife’s swordfish looked cooked to perfection. Would recommend Cartford Inn to anyone, great place to eat

Exceptional evening, food delicious! Lamb breast tacos to start, followed by Swordfish from their specials list. Both so tasty! Service prompt and super friendly, would highly recommend!

We were disappointed in the main course of Spanish stew, we did complain and received a 50% refund. Our starter was calamari and that was excellent. We went for the Spanish night but in the 90 minutes we were there we only heard about 15 mins of Spanish guitar which was disappointing. Overall the Cartford is a lovely restaurant and we have enjoyed many meals there, but last night felt very rushed we had asked to have space between courses so that we could enjoy the guitar music but this didn’t happen.

In the main part, plenty of space between the tables. Plenty of room on the table. Service was very efficient, very pleasant staff. Food was excellent and presentation top class

Have dined here several times and never been disappointed with the quality of food or service. Dishes are imaginative and flavoursome with ideal portion sizes. Great choice of wines, reasonably priced. The whole place has a lovely ambiance and an added bonus is its picturesque setting.

The food is first class, I have to highlight the sublime ginger cake dessert. I have never had something which tastes so beautiful, it feels like my tastebuds were singing. The calm, intimate atmospere is very carefully crafted with the clean, open feel of the venue, the quirky yet tasteful decor, warm lighting, a beautiful view from the large windows in the main room, and the comfortable sound level of the music. The live music on this evening was provided by a duo expertly playing a wide selection of songs in a rockabilly style. Staff were friendly and welcoming and were really responsive. It felt like being welcomed into a good friend's home for a good meal. My husband enjoyed some excellent hand pulled beer and a glass or two of a tasty red wine. I was driving so enjoyed a glass of Frobishers apple and raspberry. There is a good size car park at the rear of the pub so I found no problem with car parking.

Really sensational food. I could not fault it in any way. Just really fantastic flavours. I can't wait to eat there again. My only disappointment was that the table was in the bar area. I didn't realise when booking that you have to select the area you wish to dine in. My fault bit I think the booking could be clearer. It was still lovely. I would just have preferred a more intimate dining experience rather than the bar. Food though, just incredible

Gorgeous food! In particular the starters (cod, mushrooms and the French onion soup of course)! Service a tiny bit slow at times but ambiance brilliant! Live music act were fantastic!
