Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. This was my first time at Capital Grill, business dinner. Overall great experience, service was exceptional and everyone agreed the food was fantastic. When I got home, I told my wife this is where we're going on our next date night! Definitely recommend the hash browns with caviar, but all the sides were very good. We also had several appetizers, a variety of the steaks and the sea bass. The only, very minor, complaint was that the asparagus was a little tough.

Terrific experience all around, from the food to the service it was outstanding. Our waiter Steve was excellent, nothing left out, very attentive and assistive. Would do it all over again!

Food was delicious. Our server was very good, but the wait time between courses was too long. Our dinner took over 4 hours.

This was a special occasion with our Daughter graduating from college. We let CG know in advance with a table by the window request. When we got there our table was ready with a special graduation note for our Daughter. Great Food, Great Service, Great Experience! Highly Recommend!!

We went to the Capitol Grille for dinner before the play at Eccles Theater. Everything was fabulous…delicious food, wine, great service, and beautiful ambience! We are season ticket holders and will be going to the Capitol Grille for dinner before all our plays!

I wanted to treat my kids to a wonderful dinner while I was visiting and was looking for something special and was not disappointed when I booked a reservation at The Capital Grille. Our experience was a culinary triumph, beginning with the host staff escort to a beautiful corner booth. My DIL started her evening with an espresso martini, which by far, was the best she had ever tasted. Our waiter, Gabi, was very attentive, patient as we tried to navigate the various and fabulous selections and made excellent recommendations for those of us who couldn’t finalize choices. There isn’t anything that could have made this experience more memorable and without a doubt, looking forward to our next visit. Gabi, we’ll be looking for you to once again, complete a dining triumph.

The staff made our dinner extra special for our son and his birthday by having a birthday card and birthday confetti on the table as we arrived. That was a wonderful surprise. The birthday dessert was fantastic as was the rest of the food!

The Beet salad was the star of the show for starter’s. The Lobster Bisque was ok. Don’t like that lobster pieces were not tender. 22 oz Ribeye was perfectly cooked as requested. Medium-Rare. Asparagus side was on point. Will re return? Yes.

Always a great experience. We have a waiter that we really enjoy. The service is always beyond expectations and the food is next level. We love to treat clients at this location as it is also a treat for us!

The lobster bisque was way too thickened and my dinner companion was clearly not liking it and didn’t even eat a third of it. The sea bass was decent but undercooked and not seasoned. Ambiance and service were great.

This was our first dining experience at Capital Grille and what a fabulous experience it was. The atmosphere is elegant, the service is impeccable , and the food is beyond outstanding! We now have a new “go to” restaurant before our shows at Eccles Theatre. By the way, since it was our first time, we were served complementary elegant desserts (flourless chocolate torte and cheesecake with fresh berries and cream). A double espresso topped off our meal.

We had a fantastic birthday dinner there, we sat in the wine room downstairs and was well taking care of by Autumn and Lucas. We will definitely be back.

Great experience with all staff. From valets to front desk and servers. Food was outstanding and the service (Steve) was top notch. Was celebrating a birthday and they went the extra mile to make sure my daughter felt special. A little pricey but that was to be expected. I would absolutely recommend and celebrate another special occasion at any Capital Grille. It was a wonderful evening.

This is a great restaurant in a great location. We dined here prior to a show at 7:30 pm and got us served right on time and it was quite enjoyable. The menu has a lot of really great appetizers which we made a meal out of. Enjoyable experience.

Great dining experience. Our server was awesome! She provided prompt service throughout the meal and had great wine recommendations that paired well with our entrees. It was the best meal we had all week hands down during our stay in Salt Lake City

The only reason for my lower rating was because the food came out very slow and there was a “mashed potato incident”, therefore they didn’t have any mashed potatoes. Capital Grille is normally consistent and good, however my experience this time was less pleasant than expected.

Best all around dining experience I’ve had in a long time. Ambience is beautiful, noise level low, wait staff excellent and food delicious! One of the few places in Ut you can get a great cocktail!!! We sat in the regular dining seating but I’m going back with friends to the bar area…it’s beautiful and inviting.

As usual, The Capital Grille was excellent. Gabi provided excellent service, the food was perfect, and we left completely happy and satisfied. Every member of the staff is friendly and welcoming. CG is awesome and very consistent. Top performing teams should be modeled after this one.

Always excellent food, beverages and terrific service. I love the fact that Capital Grille are an LLP where the managers are vested partners. You just know going in that the food will be wonderful. Tonight’s treat was requesting their AHI tuna steak a very specific way. And kudos to the team for conveying that to the kitchen, for that beautiful piece of fish prepared exactly as I wanted it. Our out of town guest have filet and they was delighted with every aspect! Thanks William and Daniel and your staff for a lovely evening.

Delicious! Everything tasted so fresh and delicious!! The beet salad and crab appetizer will not disappoint. I was very pleased that they had a gluten free menu upon request. On our list of favorites for sure!
