Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.                 Let me first say that I regularly entertain clients at other Capital Grilles, and this was my first time at the Old Orchard location and it was not business. I had two major complaints, the quality of the service and my filet. Our server was a huge disappointment and really diminished the entire experience. It took two requests for a wine list before he brought it over, I’ve never once had to ask for the wine list at a Capital Grille. After ordering, I overheard the server at an adjacent table reviewing the nights specials, and our server failed to mention two that I would have been extremely interested in. Our server further left us waiting for nearly five minutes after entrees were served to bring our wine, which was ordered when we placed the entree order. And finally, he did not check with us to confirm the steaks were cooked as we ordered them. That leads me to my biggest disappointment which was a bone-in filet I had. The filet was butchered at an angle, meaning that half of the steak would be overcooked when ordering medium rare. Further, it was one of the lowest quality filets I’ve ever had.. tough and chewy. The steak knife had a touch time cutting the meat. And to cap it off, the meat was not seasoned properly. Normally I have no problem letting the staff know about poorly prepared food, but the only time the server came back was to ask if we wanted dessert. I will not be back to this location. Service is everything.

                Art our server was incredible. It was my nieces birthday, and he even brought us each a glass of champagne. The table had a card on it for her as well as some confetti. It was very thoughtful. He was very pleasant to deal with and so attentive, but not overly so. The food was Perfect as usual. Even brought us dessert. It was a wonderful, relaxing delicious experience.thank you Art.

                We were at the Capital Grille for Mother's Day and it was crowded! In spite of that, everything we ordered was delivered exactly as ordered. The staff was there to take care of us - from the manager to the service staff - and delays were minimal given the crowd. The place is beautiful and the food is great.

                Really great service and atmosphere. Came here with my mom who is in a wheelchair and the tables weee nicely far apart to allow room for that, plus the noise level was reasonable so we could hear the conversation. Food was good—capital grille does a nice job.

                Mother’s Day brunch here was very enjoyable! Erica did a great job! Ordered cocktails first, shrimp cocktail was plump and flavorful. Beet salad too was good. Mom got the bone in NY with side of egg, hash browns (were a bit dry and overcooked) and asparagus spears. Got two of those! I tried the sea bass. It was good, not great and needed seasoning. Best thing was the desert and their coconut cream pie! So good! Enjoyed it and will come back!

                Hate to say it about a chain, but this place was spot on. No complaints. Great service, great food, nice booth. Steak Tartare and Korean Bacon were amazing. Great ribeye too.

                While good in many respects, failed on two major food items. Wedge salad was bland and limp. My bone-in strip was ordered medium rare and came out well done. Not a trace of pink. After lengthy attempts to get the server’s attention, sent it back. They returned with a new one. Was still overcooked. Almost medium well but I didn’t want to prolong things. Took a couple bites and brought it home for the dog. Their compensation was an extra creamed spinach. My first bad meal at a Capital Grille! My last at this outlet.
