Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. For a quick lunch, the mini tenderloin sandwiches were a home run. The Caesar salad was bad either! Our server, Mr. Ed Sullivan did a great job. Friendly and easy to talk to.

I have been taking a former co-worker to a birthday luncheon or dinner for more than 30 years. Capital Grille Rockefeller Center is the only restaurant we have chosen to go to more than once. Food, location, service, ambience, noise level — outstanding. What more can I say?

First time here. We ordered a NY strip and bone-in ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly as ordered. And to be honest it was probably one of the most tender, delicious steaks I’ve had!! Will definitely return. And highly recommend!!!

We shared a bottle of Sancerre and tuna tartare. Both were excellent. My date had one of the chef’s suggestions—sliced filet mignon and I had the filet mignon.!Both were extraordinary. Our waitress, Maria who we had before and asked for again, was very pleasant and knowledgeable.

Our waiter (Edgar) was EXTREMELY patient and gave us great service. We were celebrating my sisters 65th birthday. The table was decorated when we arrived along with a card wishing her a happy birthday and thanking her for coming to Capital Grille. The food is a bit pricy but we absolutely love the service and this restaurant.

Seemed service was lackluster after we were seated and servers didn’t pay attention after food came (I.e., more water, ketchup, etc.). Additionally, servers we not paying attention that we were ready for dessert, as 10-year bday was getting tried.

Edgar showed his experience as a fine dining professional in everything he said and did. He was courteous and hospitable, while also making room for humor and lightheartedness. He was very attentive and made sure my wife’s birthday dinner was nothing less than exceptional. We have been to the Capital Grille many times before, but this will go down as one of our most memorable experiences. 5 stars all around. Keep doing what you’re doing

I hosted one of our partners for dinner. It was an opportunity for us to build upon our relationship and for them to interact with our CEO. We had a private room upstairs which was very conducive to getting to know each other in a quiet setting. The food was tremendous. My steak was tender and delicious. The Bordeaux wine that I picked to accompany our meal appeared to be a hit for everyone.

We're visiting from Los Angeles and looking for a good steakhouse. The capital Grille was recommended by the Hilton on 57th St. the appetizers were exceptional. We had lobster bisque and lobster and crabcakes for dinner. I had to filet mignon with specially prepared, onions, and mushrooms. my wife had twin New York medallion steaks and lobster. Everything was cooked to perfection and rather large portions the staff at the capital Grille we're very inviting friendly and knowledgeable on the items on the menu. They did not helicopter over us and let us enjoy our meal. They will check on us from time to time, they kept our drinks. Fall desserts were first class we had the crème brûlée. we were celebrating our son, leaving for a new job so the waiter surprised him with a very nice dessert on the house. I highly recommend the capital Grille for the ambience service and menu

It was an excellent meal. The tenderloin was amazing tender and delicious. The lobster Mac and cheese was also very good. The cheesecake was amazing. The appetizer was great too. We order the lobster and crab cake.

Portion’s definitely don’t match the price , noodles for lobster Mac were undercooked , bread was hard , lemon drop had no sugar or salt around the rim 14oz ny strip was definitely 10oz. Oh & they like sit black people to the back.

Had dinner with a friend and chose to stay at the bar. The staff was wonderful however 1 bartender on a Friday night is just not enough. Dinner was just what we wanted.

Incredible place. We come from Scranton, PA every year, 4 years in a row to celebrate our anniversary here. It’s worth every minute in the car and every penny. The hostess brought us to a booth with hearts sprinkled on the table and a Happy Anniversary card. Sam, our amazing server, brought us two glasses of complimentary Prosecco. Service and food were outstanding. Finally, we were treated to a plate of cheesecake with Happy Anniversary written on the plate in chocolate, also gratis. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

An absolutely lovely time from start to finish. I had indicated on the reservation it was my fiancé's birthday. The Capital Grille made it extra special. Greeted us with Birthday wishes upon arrival, the table was lightly decorated with some confetti and a birthday card. Our server, Maria was top notch. Professional, great personality and very helpful throughout. Our dinner was outstanding. Perfectly prepared steaks, some of the best lobster bisque and crab/lobster cakes we have had. The evening ended with Maria presented us with a trio of desserts and a birthday candle. We were not expecting that, and it just capped off a great birthday celebration. As we were leaving the manager spoke with us and again wished him a happy birthday. It's the little touches that make you stand out. And The Capital Grille certainly did that. I wish I could take credit for the extra touches, but that was all them. As always, the atmosphere was cozy and very enjoyable. Thank you , we'll be back!
