Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. It was very good! Our only complaint was that we were sitting right next to the kitchen door and it was very loud. We asked if we could move but was told we couldn’t because of the holiday. I totally respect keeping tables when packed but an hour and 20 min later when we were leaving the restaurant remained only 30% full. Otherwise it was an excellent meal

Wonderful evening dining with friends… excellent food, wine, and service. First of all, ask for T.C., he is fantastic! The four of us all had different entrees, and all were great. From the crab legs, filet Oscar style, to the sea bass and the chicken, everything was delicious. Highly recommend. ⭐️

Absolutely “11 on a 10 point scale” — outstanding food, ambience and service. The guidance of server Leya with respect to cut and preparation of steaks was spot-on, the particular table and additional touches selected for our anniversary dinner were just perfect , and the level of attention of the entire team, from table set up to the manager, made us feel special and appreciated. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Anniversary dinner at the Capital Grill didn’t disapoint. From the moment we arrived to a Happy Anniversary greeting, to the final dessert, everything was excellent. Service is always first rate and the specials offered were great. We had the bone-in filet and the Scallops specials. Both were excellent and cooked perfect. Sides of Lobster Mac and cheese and mushrooms rounded out the dinner well. The complementary dessert of cheese cake and flourless chocolate cake was a great topper and was appreciated. Thanks to the Capital Grill team for a memorable evening. Cheers!

Austin is one of the best servers I’ve ever had! The food was delicious, everyone else was very friendly and helpful. I am happy to have spent my Birthday another year at the Capital in Clayton. This location is also the best one I’ve ever had! 10/10

We visited Capital Grill for our 35th wedding anniversary. From the beginning of the night to the end it was an amazing experience. Our server, Corbin Boitnott, was outstanding. Professional, caring, knowledgeable and friendly. He made the experience that much more enjoyable. We talked about our mutual like of bourbon. The food was delicious! My Kona rubbed KC strip…….damn! Excellent job!

Came in to celebrate my boyfriends birthday. It was our first time dining there. Food, ambiance and service were absolutely superb!!! Mark McCoy took amazing care of us. Very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He even brought complimentary desserts since it was our first time. Can't wait to come back!!!

Steaks were wonderful, delicious and tender! Loved the spinach and mashed potato sides. The beat salad was just amazing! So flavorful and fresh. So much food, no room for dessert. High marks to Andrew M, our excellent server. He gave great recommendations and his attention to details was top notch. Can’t wait to return!

Once again, perfectly cooked steaks and the sides are wonderful! We had the bacon appetizer, tuna tartare, shrimp cocktail, each of us had a steak, mine was a filet with blue cheese, Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes! Dessert was flourless expresso chocolate cake, cheesecake, and I had strawberry/basil sorbet!

My kids took me to dinner for my birthday and they picked a great place! I had a card at the table and a surprise dessert after dinner. But our FOOD…..was amazing! We shared everything we ordered so we could taste multiple meals and everything was delicious. Definitely will be back

Jacob our waiter was truly outstanding. He made our dining experience for my birthday extra-special. Also met Josh, a manager, who quite engaging as well. These two individuals set apart our dinner that evening. The Capital Grille was, as always, a great din8 g experience.

Make sure you ask for TC - he makes every single one of our dining experiences pleasurable and enjoyable! We celebrated my 33rd birthday last night and when we arrived to our table - a large, comfortable booth situated away from the craziness of the main seating area - we noticed a signed card from the staff with small “Happy Birthday” confetti sprinkled across the linen cloth. To say we felt special is an understatement. Every step of our meal - from the appetizer, to the soup/salad (I stand by their lobster bisque being the best in Missouri) and finally our steaks - was prepared perfectly. We received two complimentary Stoli Doli (their signature drink) shooters and a gorgeous dessert. What a wonderful birthday to say the least! I highly recommend Capital Grille.

We had our anniversary dinner here and it was quite the experience. Each staff person passed us wishing us a happy anniversary, we received a signed card from the staff. They created a romantic atmosphere for us to the tee! The food was amazing and cooked accordingly. The drinks were great. It was overall lovely evening. We never felt rushed to eat. We will definitely visit again.

The N/A options were very disappointing. They offered 1 and it was Bud Zero (which is pathetic). Capital Grille is a very expensive high end restaurant and to only have one option is pathetic. There are so many great options out there now that it’s really acceptable.

Full on classy experience from arrival to departure. Our server team, led by Hugh was terrific. We were a party of three celebrating a retirement and birthday and the team made the experience memorable.... right down to the dessert and staff signed card. Perfect touch. Food was terrific but the staff were the real stars.
