The Cape Restaurant & Beach Bar is a coastal neighborhood restaurant that offers New American Coastal cuisine.
Situated in the heart of Avalon, the restaurant derives decor inspiration from various beach locations around the world, where diners often comment on feeling as though they have escaped to places like Los Angeles, Miami and Cape Town upon entry. Popular dishes like the Tuna Tataki, Red Butter Curry Halibut and Ostrich Bolognese showcase Yebo's unique and boldly flavorful twist on global dishes.

Open Mondays through Sundays, guests can dine outside on the rooftop patio with views spanning down the entire Avalon boulevard or inside the main dining room surrounded by surf boards, textured pillows and hanging greenery; all designed to transport guests to a chic beach bungalow.

Restaurant is attractive and bright - enjoyed that. Service was great. We were a bit disappointed in the food; some dishes were great, others were just okay. I was especially disappointed in the babotie crepes - if you don't know what babotie is suppose to taste like, you may love them, but to me it tasted nothing like the mild curry flavor of a traditional babotie!

Went get for the Mother’s Day dinner experience. We decided to sit on the rooftop which was beautiful and relaxing. Our server was excellent though there was a bit of a mix up with someone else coming to try to take drink orders after we already placed them. The first course was amazing with the tuna tartare and beef crepes. Drinks were just okay. Entree of the steak frites - the steak was not seasoned. The halibut was good but the red curry sauce seemed non existent. Dessert was very sad as the presentation differed between plates and the raspberry cheesecake was still frozen from the freezer. Overall the experience started off great and got worse as the meal went on. I would come back for appetizers but that’s it.

Beautiful restaurant, we sat at their rooftop which was very beautiful. The drinks were well made, but not as strong as I would like. I ordered the hummus and halibut which was amazing!!! I’ve been thinking about the halibut ever since 🤤 Not a huge fan of the Biltong, but everything else was spot on.

Excellent seafood and very friendly and attentive server. The halibut with curry sauce was yummy as was the salmon. Nice wine list accompanied our meal

I had the halibut with curry sauce and coconut rice, it was excellent. For dessert, the tiramisu presentation was impeccable. Nice indoor dining room, good service from Andres.

Wow!! Love this restaurant! What a great little gem in the middle of Avalon! We tried it last week and loved it so much that we came back 1 week later, with my mom & mother in law... had to share with the family! Great service, great food and great atmosphere!! We will be back!!

Sat upstairs with a great view of the Avalon and ambiance but that’s about it… Took over 15 minutes after we sat down before our server came to the table and then another 30 minutes before we got our drinks. Our crab dip came out before our drinks and then the bolting we ordered (beef jerky that’s already made) didn’t come for an hour so they comped that. Also a 20% gratuity is added which makes sense now why they had to make that mandatory. Would not recommend to anyone.

It seemed like a fun place to go and have a decent drink and food. Except the evening got off to a rough start. I called ahead to confirm corkage fee and Taylor told me $25 over the phone. However our waiter who was very good. (I believe his name was Andre) advised it was $45. I let him know the price given over the phone, but they chose not to honor it. $45 per bottle tells me that they don’t want you to bring wine to the restaurant- personally I’ve never experienced such a high fee. Food was pretty good but nothing to get to excited about. Only bright spot was that the waiter had such a pleasant demeanor, I just let the wine issue go, at the time. However there are just too many other choices to return to a restaurant that just ignored the corkage fee issue and never sent a manager over to at least try to explain their policies. Our bill was $450 and they let let $20 stand between them and a potential repeat customer. Short sighted in my opinion, particularly since their fee left lots of room for downward price movements. I don’t mind paying a fair rate but I certainly don’t like being taken advantage of. By the way, I didn’t take it out on the our waiter’s tip as it was clearly out of his hands.

We sat outside, as the indoor tables were all booked. I think we would have had a better overall experience dining indoors.

The chicken piccata is absolutely amazing!! I switch out the asparagus with spinach! My hands down one of my favorite dishes in Georgia and then add in the beauty of the restaurant and a yummy handcrafted cocktail and you put together a great Thursday night. I ordered the Frose! Super yummy cocktail! The restaurant a tad chilly, but other than that, The Cape is hands down one of my favorite restaurants!

I enjoyed the restaurant very much. The attentiveness of the waitress was very superb. The food was amazing, I highly recommend the shrimp tempura roll appetizer and for the main course the salmon or lamb chops. If you like to have a drink with your meal, please try the Mai Tai.

I visited the site at Avalon which in itself is a wonderful environment. The intimate size of the restaurant is perfect for a business lunch or evening out. It was my first visit so my knowledge of the menu is limited, however; the entre that I ordered was excellent.

this was such an amazing experience! i will be going again! i loved everything about this restaurant. also, it’s free parking near the restaurant. it was such a beautiful restaurant & night for me! the restaurant’s surroundings were just as beautiful as the restaurant!!

Food was delicious but server was MIA for a lot of our dining experience. I ordered one drink and then decided I wanted something else and was never able to replace it because he didn’t come back to our table. By the time he did so up I had just decided to keep what I originally ordered.

Great food in a nice bistro-feel restaurant. Easy to carry a conversation with some easy music playing in the background. Very polished interior , very clean , tastefully decorated. Had the halibut and my wife had the salmon, both were prepared well and simple (in a great way) in their presentation. We will definitely have this on our short list for evenings out.

I love this restaurant and have visited several times. It’s in a great location, surrounded by shops and other eateries. As a pescatarian The halibut, Shrimp tacos and crab dip all have great flavor and consistency. Those are my favs! Staff is friendly and kind and provide great service.
