The Cape Restaurant & Beach Bar is a coastal neighborhood restaurant that offers New American Coastal cuisine.
Situated in the heart of Avalon, the restaurant derives decor inspiration from various beach locations around the world, where diners often comment on feeling as though they have escaped to places like Los Angeles, Miami and Cape Town upon entry. Popular dishes like the Tuna Tataki, Red Butter Curry Halibut and Ostrich Bolognese showcase Yebo's unique and boldly flavorful twist on global dishes.

Open Mondays through Sundays, guests can dine outside on the rooftop patio with views spanning down the entire Avalon boulevard or inside the main dining room surrounded by surf boards, textured pillows and hanging greenery; all designed to transport guests to a chic beach bungalow.

What a great all around experience! We sat on the rooftop with our pup and had the ahi tuna tartare, shrimp tempura sushi roll, fish sandwich and crab dip. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. Drinks were great too. I had the watermelon high. Our server was super friendly and attentive. Looking forward to our next visit.

This was an amazing experience. We enjoyed awesome food, service and cocktails. The halibut and lamb chops were amazing. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic lunch at the Cape yesterday. The food was delicious and the service was superb. We will definitely be back.

Atmosphere is quite pleasant with flowers hanging overhead. Waitress was attentive. My asparagus soup had a bit too much lemon in it but still I ate it. Only 2 pieces of halbut and shrimp with the rest being calamari so disappointed in that but tasty. Brussels spouts tasty but a tad overdone. Still will be back and try other things.

This is our go-to place every time we’re in Avalon. Usually, the service and the food are great, but this time wasn't as expected. We decided to sit upstairs since the weather was promising. The service was awful; there was only one server taking care of all the tables upstairs, and everyone’s food was either late or the wrong order. The drinks came out half spilled because he was trying to hold four drinks without a tray. One of our appetizers never made it to the table, and the check never came. I went downstairs to talk to the manager, and there were 2 bartenders, 2 servers, 1 manager, 1 hostesses and one customer doing literally nothing but sitting at the bar. I’m not sure how the logistics work here, but the service was just awful. I let the manager know about the situation, paid the check, and left. We love this place and hope they can fix the service issue upstairs.

Great spot, good food. Didn't feel like true South African experience but delicious nonetheless. Would return.
