Having made a reservation through OpenTable in the past, I didn't even contemplate there being an issue. We had friends in from out of town and have raved about the Cantina to them, so we couldn't wait to bring them when they came to visit. Our reservation was set and confirmed for 9:00 pm. We show up and guess what? The restaurant side is closed. Closed? At 9:00 pm on a Saturday night in Las Vegas? Closed? I had a reservation. I confirmed it. How in the eff are you closed on the restaurant side??? We decided to eat off the limited menu on the bar side, but it was definitely not the experience we were shooting for and also quite embarrassing. Had we been in the dining room, we definitely would have spent more on food and drinks and not just hurried up and eaten and got out of there. What a shame. I'm really not sure if we'll go back to the Cantina with all of the other options out there for dining and drinks.

Our server Betty was absolutely delightful, swift and made fabulous recommendations when we sought direction on what to order. The green pozole is a MUST try. Use the side of HOT chili oil carefully. The craft kitchen made salsas and guacamole were outstanding. The variety of tacos were all very good. Enjoyed our business lunch tremendously. It was a great setting in the dining room area to have our meeting without the loud music, etc. of the gaming/bar side.

Was a bit disappointed with the food.. The Mahi tacos were very little fish buried in too much cabbage and the birria tacos which are normally good were mostly fat.

Menu and food is awful. Place used to be very very good but now they turned it into just another bar with bad food. Menu has been drastically minimized and portions have shrunk. Very obvious by staff and cleanliness they don’t care about the restaurant portion of the business, that’s fine just close and sell drinks. Don’t eat here!

The food was generally good, but the kitchen messed up on one of the dishes and didn’t include the meat that was supposed to be there. The service was horrible. It was not crowded at all but it took a very long time to get both our drinks and food.

No one was there to check us in for our reservation. After waiting for over ten minutes they finally told us to sit anywhere. Waitress was very rude. Asked about spiciness of certain items due to dietary restrictions and she said “she would literally have to dip her fingers in the sauces to see how hot they were.” Slow, crappy service. Will never come back to this location. Prefer Tivoli Village location IF and a big IF we come back to support this establishment.

Made a reservation, when I walked in all of the workers stayed behind the bar avoiding eye contact to help. When someone finally did speak to me and I told them I had a reservation she said “it didn’t come through give us a few minutes” and walked away. I stood there for a few more minutes and no one came back out to speak to us.

We had a reservation but had no one at front entry to talk to. There was no one at front to greet us or take us. There was a sign that said seat yourself in bar, but we didn’t want the bar. We walked to dining room on right, and sat ourselves and then someone came over. Things were slow and we weren’t really checked on. Good was okay, bland flavors.

Reservations were at 1:15, called to let them know I would be there at 1:30. They said my table would be ready then. Arrived at 1:28 and was seated at 1:42. There was no hostess. It seemed only the cooks, 1 bartender and 1 server were working. The server sat us down and at 1:50 took our drink order. What should have been a 45 min lunch took over 1.5 hrs. The music was too loud all of the tables around us were dirty. Oh, and the health department inspection grade that was being displayed in an almost hidden spot…it was a B. No wonder.

We walked into a gorgeous restaurant but the food and staff were ugly as can be. They never greeted us… after 10 min of sitting in an almost empty bar that was staffed just fine of people not wanting to do their jobs. Finally a bar tender came up and without greeting told us to just scan the code and walked away. G-thanks for making us feel stupid after waiting 10 min for any service! Then, after placing my order on my phone, our cold, stale and beyond flavorless Food was delivered. Please, whatever you do, don’t get the flan. It’s thick, hard and disgusting. The tortillas were cold and thick, the taquitos were drenched in things that instantly made them soggy, cold and shocked with how much on there that they had zero flavor. I love the strip location but I will never come back here. I also don’t enjoy watching desperate looking women at the bar filming TikTok lives while pretending to be AI’s. This place reeks of desperation.

The service is an absolute abysmal. There was hardly anyone in the dining room and my friend got her food 15 minutes before I did. When mine came out, it was luke warm. Someone only came around once to fill our water and it took my friend asking the waitress three times to get the coke she ordered. For what we paid, I will NEVER come back.

Went for Taco Tuesday. Honestly not a great experience. Service was lacking and trust me I know businesses are low in staff so, I always try and be super patient. Asked the server for menus, she kept point and tap at the QR code for an app to see and order. She said you can order through me too but if you have the app open you can just order. The cocktails were full price (lowest $20) deals were only on flights which started at $75.00 Street Tacos $5 each and they are 3 bites. The meat in the tacos were barely warm, cold in the middle, tortilla was rubbery. Ordered table side guac and the cart supposedly was not working and when they brought it was 80% onions and tomatoes. Barely could see avocado. We had to asked for salt because it was bland and all onion taste. Beers were okay. Not cold. Even PTs has super cold beers. My friend ordered Peach Margarita and was told if she wanted something else because the peach flaring was out and the backup was defrosting. I’ve been told this location isn’t great. The Tiviolli is better.

The food was ok. Chips and salsa were sadly not free, but the salsas were both good. Chips were pretty oily and some were aggressively salted. The pulled chicken burrito was super boring. The carne asada burrito was bland, but the red/green Sancho style made it better. Their red sauce has a good amount of heat, so skip it if you don’t handle spice well. Overall, this was just a solid MEH of a meal, and we won’t be returning.

My husband and I came here for the first time, for Restaurant Week. There is an outside patio and two separate indoor dining areas. Both indoor areas have multiple large screen tvs. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We will definitely be back.

The only thing this restaurant has going for them was our server, Ciera. Poor girl was doing it all on a busy Mother’s Day, hostess, busser, server…The food was absolutely awful, we ordered carne asada street tacos which were dry shredded beef at best! My husband got the shrimp enchiladas that were over cooked and barely edible. A+ for the margaritas, chips & salsa, and Ciera. Outside of that it was disastrous, we payed $200 for a horrible meal on Mother’s Day.. we’ve been to the other location and it was delightful. Big regrets on coming here!

Reliable experience for Mexican fare. Needs to ditch the QR code for menu. The physical menu I got was in a cloudy plastic sleeve. Couldn’t read it. QR check settlement was not as good as some other platforms

I took my delightful neighbor out to dinner and neither of us had been here. Based on our experience neither of us will be back. The service was good. The food was less than…The price was more than… I heard the staff tell the customer there is only one server now. She did a good job however, the management should look to making different changes than just cutting staff. Such as adjusting price and serious look at some focused group analysis of the food. The taco meat was leather, the white rice at a Mexican restaurant was the only option to the beans. I could go on but I will stop there. The drinks were well made though, which salvaged the evening. We are visiting but will pass on returning here.

We're from Ohio on a small vacation to Las Vegas. We visited El Dorado from a foodie tour short story on YouTube and we were not disappointed! We visited very early in the day and we chose to sit in the bar area. We snacked on an appetizer and the Bloody Mary's hit the spot. Our bar keep provided excellent service. Thank you!

They all were fabulous. Manger on duty was the best. First day back from vacation and rocked it. Her guac was like none other (and was the green we needed for St. Patrick’s Day)!! Lol!!! Looking forward to our next visit.

Food was amazing and the bar sent a drink out and we didn’t like it the manager came over and reassured he will have the bar make the drink over and Mojito was perfect. Service levels and food was amazing

Very, very good traditional Mexican fare. I was expecting to be blown away, given the reputation of the original location, so maybe I'm being overly critical. The food and overall experience was very good, and I would recommend it, but I won't be making the long-ish drive to return soon. A few years back, this is the type of place I'd be raving about, but Vegas restaurants have gotten so good, that this is one that's going to go on my back burner.

It stated with good service ... then (even with smile on our server's face) went downhill from there. There were 4 of us (we eat out almost every week) and the men at my table asked for beer without any alcohol (she told them what kind of beers they have without alcohol - we're practicing Lent); I had a mocktail (spicy margarita). She gave me my mocktail but she said all the non-alcoholic beers are sold out (it was 5:45pm what?!). We shared 2 appetizers (happy hour that cost $8/plate & it's small portions) and because we're sitting at a large booth, we had to moved the plates around. So there were mess that dropped on the table. The server didn't wipe the table to clean the mess. I wiped it before they served us our desserts. My husband & I ordered fajita steak & shrimps, and other two ordered burrito asada & soup. We all compared our food & every single one of our dish had a lot of lemon taste (sour) on it (for me I don't mind) but my husband doesn't like lemon - so unfortunately he didn't enjoy 100%. My mocktail drink of spicy margarita barely touch been sitting there and our server did not ask how was my drink. I did not complain bec she just kept passing by us - anyway, it tasted like hand soap. Like someone LITERALLY WASHED THEIR HANDS & did not rinsed properly - it was awfully NASTY. Good thing it's happy hour price of $4.50. Next table across us were a mother and a toddler. The toddler accidently pulled the chip basket and spilled all over the floor. The server (same server as ours) DID NOT clean it up - it wasn't only under the table but as well the where people walk. Oh and by the way, as we were eating our second flan (it's $12 but its good) we noticed that we DID NOT GET our chips & salsa. Each table got one but she didn't give us any nor did she offer it to us. TWO stars bec of the flan & ambience. Service, food, & price - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

They were busy and understaffed. I had made a reservation and specified that I did not want a “high top”. When we arrived we were told that there was only high-tops available because of “a large party coming in”. We were offered the bar which we accepted (even though it’s a smoking area) and we waited a long time to be acknowledged, then a long time for margaritas. We ordered and the food came out fairly quick but the sides I had ordered were incorrect. We were hungry so I did not send the plate back, rather I told the waitress,when she stopped by about 1/4 hour later, and asked that the other side we ordered extra be taken off the bill. She said “no problem”. I also asked her to check up on the 2nd margarita I ordered from the person who delivered our food (who I asked if I could order through him and he said “yes”). When she dropped off the drink I asked for the check and it came with the adjustment not made, and the first 2 margaritas were $16 total and the 2nd solo margarita was $16 too. We were ready to go and I wanted to avoid any more delays so I just put a card down and paid. She delivered the slip for signature and told me she had made the change she promised and we thanked her. The bill: Chips/Salsa, Aquachile, Tacitos, Chile Relleno, 3 margaritas $99 + $20 tip (I wasn’t going to penalize her for the understaffing) did not represent great value. The food was good not great (tacitos were not crispy, Aguachile had some grey/blackish avocado, chile relleno was soupy and watery). I’ll go back if someone else is paying but El Luchador, HOLA, and Lindo Michoacán (in Henderson) are all much better choices.

Our server Kira was behind from the beginning- It took a good 20 minutes before I had to ask again if our drinks were coming- It took 30 minutes for appetizers to come out- When we finally got our guacamole we had to wait to another 5 minutes for appetizer plates and then she only brought 6 plates for 7 people- When we were finished with our appetizers the dirty plates sat a very long time and in fact we’re never cleared- When our entrees came out I had to ask to please have our appetizer plates removed- our food was barely warm and when she brought the complimentary desserts, we again were not given any share plates and were only given 4 forks for 7 guests. It’s as though she thinks that because she calls everyone “love” it will make up for poor poor service. It was very disappointing.
