Hmmm, my last visit was pre Covid and it was pretty poor then as the place was empty and there was only two of us for lunch which ended up a disaster. I always try to give a venue a second chance and I realise they are /were short staffed on a bank holiday Monday. A big shout out to the young lady behind the bar who served us well with drinks but the main meals (Fish especially had obviously been hanging about before we finally got it served to the table). I doubt we/I will be returning any time soon which is a pity as it is a really nice place. Usually our family all have a sweet but Palace were playing Man U and we sensed a big Palace win and the thought off waiting another 45 minutes for the dessert to arrive was just too much. Palace won BTW 4-0.

I recently visited the bull and dog with my young family. The lady serving was lovely but it was only her waiting on and serving so service was slow and not great as it got busier. The food was average and what you'd expect for the price. Would return for drinks in the summer as the beer garden is lovely and has a good play area for my toddler.

Food was really disappointing everything was timed or frozen was really looking forward to my roast dinner it’s was all tined veg frozen potatoes beef was really chewy my daughter got lan Lasagna came with no garlic bread just on its own what looked microwaved staff were lovely but to come and eat again I wouldn’t and wouldn’t recommend for food

Suited us for a child friendly tea out, reasonably priced and there was even an option for a fussy vegetarian.

This is the first time we've ventured out for Christmas dinner! We chose the Bull & Dog as we come with our dog all year round. The food is always delicious and Christmas day was no different! It was fab! The atmosphere was great, chilled and relaxed. The service was great too! Time between our dishes was just right! They done themselves proud!

Supermarket or Hollands frozen style pie with seemingly tinned peas for THIRTEEN QUID! Nothing homemade about the meal. Place was almost empty yet took about 15mins for our food order to be taken. Pie could have done with another minute in the microwave once it arrived. First and last time I will go here. Far better pubs within 5 minutes of this place.

Special request information was not reviewed prior to us arriving after mentioning we were coming with a dog. We were then seated into an area that 5 mins later we were told was not an area were they usually allow dogs to be even though a staff member seated us there and could obviously notice the dog in our company. The food took a long time to arrive to the table, 4/6 meals arrived at the same time with the remaining 2 taking a further 10+ minutes to come out after chasing for them. Due to the long time of these meals arriving some of the food was slightly colder and did not feel compelelty cooked with one meal needing to be returned for reheating. These food errors were blamed on a "new chef". The food itself was good and the pub atmosphere was nice.
