Fantastic 2 course lunch, everyone was so friendly and the food was first class, made fresh to order. Will definitely recommend to friends and I will be back.

Beautiful Hebridean smoked salmon starter, perfectly cooked steak and a sumptuous hot chocolate fondant - delicious! Service staff were attentive and friendly, but not intrusive and the restaurant was clean and cosy. Brilliant value for money and a very inviting menu - will be returning soon!

Our visit was so much better than we expected. The service was great, food very tasty and definitely value for money. I was staying at The Scott so very easy to pop next door for dinner.

This restaurant was beyond all expectations. We were staying at the students’ campus for 2 nights when visiting Edinburgh and were attracted by the description on The Scholar’s website. The menu offered different veggi, fish and meat options. We had the gnocchi and chef’s special of the day accompanied by a very good glass wine. It was all freshly made and very well balanced. It was good value for money.
