We had a wonderful meal. The food was fresh. The oysters were super good. We had the chicken and a scallop main that were really good. Salad was fresh and had a lovely tarragon flavor. While this restaurant may seem in the middle of the tourist area, it is not touristy at all. The staff is wonderful and the food is exceptional. We highly recommend The Black Grape.

Lovely little find, beautiful and very relaxed setting! Staff are amazing, the perfect balance between attentive and giving you the time and space to enjoy your evening. The food is delicious - lots of small plates but really interesting dishes, a taste sensation!

Came here for our anniversary and were greeted with bubbly, which was much appreciated. The service was great, with multiple staff members checking on us without hovering. However, the food was quite boring though it sounded great from the menu. I would chalk this up to a lack of seasoning. Almost everything needed salt (not an experience we usually have). The ideas seemed good, but execution was not good. Especially for a restaurant with such high reviews, this was a let down.

The food is amazing!!! There is no other way to describe it. The service is attentive and takes time to answer questions and explain the menu. This restaurant has an interesting concept to serve food in small portions as tapas. Shared is highly recommended as there are so many amazing food combinations on the menu, which need to be tried. Absolutely a strong recommendation!

Amazing food and service, couldn’t fault it. We especially loved the tuna tartare and the mozzarella. Great wine recommendations. Only negative was the noise level which was a bit uncomfortable at times.

Good if served rather quickly. Some plates were superb, others rather bog standard. Bread and the mozzarella some of the best…… battered prawns and the ‘Marie Rose’ type dressing disappointing. Wine was great, post dinner cocktails a let down. Don’t know if I would visit again.
