Warm, welcoming, intimate and steps away from the Jackson Hole Town Square, The Bistro is the newest concept from restaurateurs Gavin Fine and Roger Freedman (Fine Dining Restaurant Group). Drawing on inspiration from Parisian style neighborhood brasseries, The Bistro presents modern, comfortable European dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner, all inside The Cloudveil hotel. We made reservations for this restaurant several months in advance because the menu looked interesting and it was in a convenient location to our hotel. Unfortunately, when we got there it was SO loud and annoying because they were blasting music like it was a club. This could be because they set me at a high table near the bar—ridiculous for reservations so many months in advance. Bar area is for people with no reservations in my opinion and you should have a list of reservations and leave tables open for them. The wait was forever in between drinks and ordering and courses. The bread was hard as a rock and you could barely eat it. The trout appetizer was good and the cheese cake was good but the duck and short ribs were very bland and unimpressive. I would not recommend this place at all and is one of the least impressive places I’ve ever eaten using open table. I wish I’d never had wasted my dinner on this place!!

The inside of the restaurant is VERY noisy; we were seated on an outdoor patio, where the noise level was fine, but it was kind of a desert island, and the round tables were too tiny. Though food was great, I wouldn’t go back.

I had the dining week special for $50. It was good but a separate Caesar salad wwould have been better. The steak was unremarkable while their regular NY is excellent. though more expensive. I shouldn't have expected the same meal at such a bargain price .

We had 7pm reservations on Mother’s Day. Appetizers came out in a timely fashion then 8:25 came and no dinners. Our server never bothered to follow up with the kitchen. When I found him and asked where are food was he said there was a computer glitch and he didn’t know. We walked out. The manager called me to apologize and offer us dinners to come back but we left town. If a business is going to be open and accepting reservations for a holiday like Mother’s Day they better be prepared and ready.
