The Birdcage Restaurant and Bar drew inspiration from its leafy surroundings, in particular the beautiful Fig Tree that dominates the Kingsway Restaurant Precinct. This glorious tree plays host to many species of colourful birds and it is this vibrancy that embodies the soul of all we do and are at The Birdcage. Life is always improved with a little fun and flamboyance. So, with this in mind we want your time dining with us to be both enjoyable but more so, memorable. Great setting for a catch up with friends although a bit noisy. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Service was excellent! Definitely recommend.

Arrived for a 7:15 booking but staff stated that we could only sit for 30 mins, the coffee machine had been turned off and that only a few items were available. They stated that they wanted to close up early. Went somewhere else that was much better.

Service was slow. My lunch came out when my friend had almost finished and that was after i had asked about my meal twice. Disappointing!

Friendly staff and excellent food! Lovely atmosphere with that huge fig tree all covered in lights outside.

Although the overall experience was good, i prebooked an outside table hours in advance, and was told when we arrived that they had “turned off bookings for the day” and we were seated inside in a really awkward noisy spot. Kind of a joke considering I had been able to book online earlier that morning.

I booked for my table the morning of my lunch and Open Table indicated that there was a table available. The lunch was for a family get together for 8 people. When I got to the restaurant I was told that Birdcage (Miranda) did not have my reservation as they can't take reservations the morning of the booking. This was not indicated on Birdcage's website or anywhere I could see. This inconvenienced my family as we had specifically gone to this location to meet.
