I was unaware that there would be a buffet vs ordering from the menu. I am not a fan of buffets and I think we were the last ones to eat from it so there was plenty of food but just not very fresh. The staff was friendly but not very organized and knowledgeable. Just not the experience I was hoping for.

Hello Mrs. Jackson, I am so sorry you did not have the experience you were looking for. We always serve a buffet on Sundays from 9:30 - 1:30 PM, and we do our best to stay consistent on that. Although we post the buffet menu each week on Social Media, and the meal is listed as Brunch Buffet on Open Table, and Sunday brunch on the website, I can see how the website listing might not have fully elucidated that the Sunday brunch is a buffet, and we are editing the website soon to be more sure. We do serve an a la carte breakfast from 8 AM - 9:30 AM on Sundays, and then we serve an a la carte breakfast on Friday and Saturday mornings from 8 AM to 10:30 AM. We'd love to have you back sometime for one of our a la carte meals. Thank you for coming!

Easter Buffet was great. The bacon is the best. Had prime rib, sausage, grits, and a biscuit. It was yummy! It was also a great value.

I don’t know what happened. The last time we dined here the service was awesome and the food was awesome, but last night I chose to come here for my 40th birthday and it was horrible. The waitress literally did not care about us. She disappeared never came back to check on us. We had to flag her down the whole night. She literally left me and my daughter sitting for over 20 minutes with nothing to drink. I ordered the fried green tomatoes and they were so undercooked. Not sure what happened but we will not be back again for a while. Very disappointed.

Hello Maggie, we are very sorry this happened on your birthday. We appreciate your coming to celebrate with us. There was help in the building, but somehow we did not work together as a team that night, and of course that is 100% our fault. We have discussed it in detail over the past couple of weeks, and I thank you for helping point out some areas that needed attention. Again, I am so sorry for this to have happened on your birthday, and we hope to have a chance to give you a much better experience in the future.

We absolutely love Big Creek Lodge!! The food is awesome and the staff is amazing! We took our daughter here for her 17th birthday and we had an amazing time! They make you feel so welcome.

Excellent Donut bread pudding ! Bacon prepared crisp and perfect. The fried chicken tenders were hand battered with hint of hot honey drizzled. Excellent!

Everything was great. The spinach and artichoke dip was the bomb. If I had one negative thing to say, it would be that the chicken and biscuit was to dry for my taste. Either needs a sauce or more pimento cheese.

Always a great meal ; even with a packed house we were serviced in an exceptionally short length of time. My Lemon Chicken special was a perfect choice and my husband's Prime Rib was a very nice cut. We continue to pick Big Creek because we know we won't be disappointed.

We always enjoy our meals at Big Creek. They were swamped this weekend, but the service was great, as usual. Kudos to the Junior Staff- they were hard-working, courteous, and eager to serve. The cheese board had a nice assortment to share, and our entrees were delicious. We will be back soon.

We had an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner. The venue is beautiful, the food was wonderful and our server Chelsea was fantastic! I highly recommend Big Creek.

What a delicious dinner, excellent atmosphere and for a great price! We had the bacon wrapped filet, the ribeye, the spinach artichoke dip appetizer, an apple pie dessert to go and we each had two beers. The music playing overhead was THE Best. Our wait staff was friendly but didn’t overdo it. A true hidden gem! The local beer from Midsummer Brewing was excellent! Beautiful place to enjoy dinner. Can’t wait to go back.

Great restaurant and location. Unassuming with good food. We were there, my wife and I, as a gift from our daughter for our 25th anniversary. Food was prepared as we ordered and was delicious.

100% always a home run! I don’t know how we got so lucky🍀 to have this gem 💎 in our backyard but somehow we do! Entertained five family members tonight and no one felt deprived. Bill totaled only $104. ☺️🤔This place is a steak and a real gem! Be sure and tip accordingly.❤️

Our experience was a little odd. We were the only diners so there seemed to be only one person working. He was professional and we had no complaints regarding his personal service but I think it is probably hard to be host, waiter, cook, door unlocker etc. for a party of six. We were not offered anything to drink other than the water and when I asked for coffee it was promptly served but cold- probably left from the day before? Anyway, I do think the food was well prepared but the salads should have been served first, there should have been coffee, etc. The experience was less than expected but this was clearly the fault of management for not planning better hours and staffing. I will eat at Big Creek again but NOT for a special occassion or when we have guests. I was a little embarrassed.

What an amazing meal we had tonight. The food was absolutely delicious. Chelsea, our server, went over and above to make our experience exceptional. The chef made a special dessert for me because I was limited with what I could have. He came out to check to see how it was. It was beyond delicious and one of the best I have ever had. Highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely worth the short drive. Top shelf all the way

We are local to Stokes County but had never been to Big Creek. First off me and my wife eat out around 90% of our meals. After having several people mention the place, we decided to visit this past Friday night and try something new but local. We know good food and bad. What we had: -Side Salad with thousand Island dressing (Split Salad) -6oz Filet, sliced roasted potatoes, green beans, and added a side of mashed potatoes since we were splitting -Soda/Beer. Good soda and cold beer and glasses. The meal was delicious and well presented. The salad was very tasty, and the dressing was super. The filet was cooked medium well as requested. Potatoes, both kinds were very good along with the green beans. The meal was so good we ended up ordering 3 desserts. We inquired about the cheesecake and our terrific server, Chelsea, assured us it would be delicious. If any of you reading this ever had the cheesecake that Village Tavern at Reynolda used to have this was even better than it was. We shared the cheesecake and I had the pumpkin pie. My wife had the apple cobbler with ice cream. The desserts were outstanding as well. I have to say with the quality of our food/desserts and the outstanding service, especially by our waitress Chelsea, the place should have been packed. I highly recommend giving the Big Creek Lodge restaurant a try. I don't think you will leave disappointed.

We recently spent the weekend at Luna’s Trails for a class reunion There were several who stayed all weekend as well. We enjoyed 4 meals and the food was great every time. I recommend Luna Trails to everyone Thanks Daniel and team for making this a weekend to remember Dawn

My husband and I and friends love eating at the Big Creek Lodge. The food is always good and the wait staff is always great. So attentive and friendly. Today Chelsea was wonderful!! So friendly and kind and always brought food and drinks out promptly with a smile. The food is always wonderful. We love going to the Sunday brunch And sitting outside with our dog Lucy. It’s almost like our home away from home. Today the fried chicken and omelet were my favorites. Although the Mac and cheese is always great as well. Stephen does such a great job and always comes out to make sure we are taken care of. The hour and 15 minute drive we make is so worth it. The only downside is that the view is so beautiful We don’t want to leave. Love love love this place!

We enjoyed dinner and breakfast at the lodge. Both times we chose to eat outside, which provided a beautiful view of the mountains. As the temperature dropped, they even lit outside fires, which made the atmosphere practically perfect. We enjoyed the stuffed acorn squash, ribeye entree, and fried green tomato starter for dinner. For breakfast, we both had omelettes with the roasted potatoes. Everything was delicious, made to order, and nicely presented. The two ladies who helped us, Chelsea and Christie, were magnificent. They were so friendly, professional, and a complete joy to be around. Overall, a wonderful experience and I hope we get the chance to go there again sooner rather than later!

This was a wonderful surprise for us, and only minutes from pilot Mountain. The food was the best we’ve had in a very long time. The staff was very welcoming, and the restaurant was very open and airy. The views were incredible. The chicken marsala was the best I have ever eaten. The bread for the table was delicious and the chips and dip, which was a creamy, cheesy, Garlic was Outstanding. The chef did a fantastic job. We will absolutely be back. You have to try The Big Creek Lodge restaurant in Westfield. You will not be disappointed.

Our group from high school always enjoy meeting for lunch at Big Creek Lodge. Food is great, love that the menus are new for each season. Cody did an excellent job as out waiter .

Although they seemed to be slightly understaffed, the service was great, food was great, gorgeous views. Bo even stopped by! Our group of 3 each had a different omelette and joked that we could have all shared one. Loved the breakfast potatoes and Cody did a great job
