Michelin Guide Recommended Restaurant for 2022 and 2023

The Barn Kitchen offers a refined take on rustic American cuisine. Focusing on influences from the nearby Coachella Valley, the Barn Kitchen brings small local farms and the unique aspects of the desert to classic American favorites. We aim to create simple, uncomplicated cuisine by showcasing fresh California ingredients. By creating a communal dining atmosphere, we invite all of our guests to make meaningful connections and savor each experience.

The Barn Kitchen is open daily for lunch from 11 am – 4 pm and dinner from 5pm – 9pm. The bar remains open until 11 pm every day for hotel guests, serving a selection of microbrews, wine, and spirits. In the evening, gather around the fire pit for star gazing and smores. Outside guests must reserve a table for lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is lovely, sitting alfresco. Food is good and the servers are genuinely kind but they are un-attentive. We waited and waited for drinks, extra bread, never got our dessert, and had to walk to the exit to get our check.

By far, one of the best meals I’ve had in Palm Springs. Fresh, creative, locally-sourced, and incredibly flavorful. The atmosphere is delightful, as well, reminding me of being in The Adirondack Mountains. And because there is so much beautiful foliage overhead, it keeps the tables cool during outdoor dining. Our servers were attentive and kind, and the whole vibe was chill and relaxed. I will definitely be returning!

First visit for a late lunch! Loved the outdoors both by the pool and cabana s. Out door seating nicely arranged for quiet conversations. Server was attentive and food was wonderful. Loved the mussels! We will be back, loved our experience!

We had a wonderful lunch for two. We ordered the quinoa salad and chicken salad sandwich and a bottle of Sancerre. The citrus in the salad was refreshing and the greens were super fresh. The chicken salad had the perfect amount of tarragon and the sourdough bread was delicious. We were seated under a shaded trellis with ample room between tables. The service was relaxed and attentive. We would definitely return to experience the dinner menu.

This is our first visit to the barn kitchen at sparrows Lodge. The restaurant is located and a beautiful location, which was formally stables. Seating is throughout the garden and very pleasant. My wife had the Mediterranean salad which was just ordinary, and I had the fussily pasta and a carrot sauce, which was very tasty but considerably over priced at $29 for such a small portion. I feel the ambience is very nice. The service was very good, but the food is overpriced won’t be visiting again.

Unbelievably charming courtyard environment, fantastic fresh fare, great service and friendly staff. Absolutely a top to bottom special experience. This is a must try in Palm Springs 🌴

Wonderful experience! The food was amazing and the staff was incredible. The manager was welcoming and offered us a dessert on the house since we were celebrating our baby moon. Highly recommend!

Was good, not outstanding. There are better places to eat in Palm Springs. Service by a male waitstaff was very good, but the female staff forgot to bring us the plates when our shared entree was served. We had to request plates from the male staff. I get it’s a small kitchen, but I thought the food took too long to be served.
