The Bamboo Club is a one-of-a-kind neighborhood restaurant & Tiki bar located in Long Beach, CA. The Bamboo Club serves a mix of both modern and classic century-old Tiki cocktails, alongside the weekend brunch, daily lunch and dinner, and late night menus featuring Polynesian-inspired and Asian-style dishes. With an interior designed by award-winning Bamboo Ben Bassham, The Bamboo Club reflects the laid-back sensibilities of tropical Tiki culture while welcoming one and all with extensive booth and bar seating, outdoor tented seating, and a private patio to escape from the everyday. While the concept maintains the Tiki culture at heart, it turns into a lively watering hole for Long Beach music fans after dinner hours, when local live musical performers and vinyl DJs take the stage and the crowd jams out to everything the local music scene has to offer. Friendly staff. Good drinks. Fun atmosphere. We’re in our 60s. Worried that it would be too loud/young for us. Our reservation was at 7:00 on a Saturday evening. We were done before it got too crowded/loud. Surprisingly, the food was super good. Our party of four shared spaghetti squash Pad Thai, Thai crunch salad, bamboo crispy wings, and fried chicken sandwich. All were expertly seasoned, fresh and delicious. Prices were extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back.

There was a musician playing hawaiian music when we arrived just before 2p, which was nice, but he stopped playing at 2p even though brunch was until 3p. So that was a bummer. We definitely won't eat brunch here again. It was our first time here and we came to try some hawaiian style appetizers, but brunch was the only menu available on the weekend until 3pm. They don't know how to properly cook eggs. I requested over-medium with my dish and they came out with broken yolks, browned and fried hard. They offered to redo them, but they prepared them exactly the same way the 2nd time. They had no trouble charging me the full amount though. We got a side of the Mac salad, it was ok if you like it sweet. The cocktails were good, but it took 10-15 minutes to get one of the drinks. We considered ordering from the regular menu at 3p but we were too disappointed to stay any longer or give them any more business.

It was a bit packed at the time of our reservation so it took some time for us to be seated even past our reservartion time. It also took some time for our waiter to get to us. But beyond those, the food and drinks were as good as ever. Still coming back!

Great cocktails! Great vibe! Food is somewhat better than typical bar food but the drink menu kills it! Always very good service.

Alcoholic Drinks are avg $16 and glasses are shoved with ice with maybe just 5 ounces of actual liquid in small tall glasses - it’s a shame how stingy the drinks are . It took about 20 minutes to even get them. The server barely smiled and I felt like she just didn’t want to even be there . The atmosphere is the only thing going for it . The food was super average - nothing special . Sadly I was disapponted .

Our party was turned away when we arrived promptly for our 7:30p reservation because they have a policy of not allowing children after 8 pm, which was not mentioned on Yelp, Google or their website. We were forced to find other arrangements last minute. Their only solution was to come back at an earlier time. Yeah, that won’t be happening.
