Welcome to your friend neighborhood bar and sandwich shop. Tucked away on Lafayette Park, just a block from the downtown and seaport neighborhoods of Salem, MA, The Babe is the perfect place to rendezvous after work for a cocktail, grab a bite with friends, or get together for a late night celebration. We take pride in our scratch kitchen with a menu inspired by Northeast sandwich culture and cuisine; touching on fan favorites from Philly to NY, and of course, Boston! Our menu includes specialties like house-ground cheese burgers, loaded Italian subs with freshly sliced salumi, crispy and cheesy mozzarella pockets, crispy wings, and more. The dining room and bar have a casual but intimate feel with high ceilings, updated vintage architectural features, and warm deco-lighting. The Babe also features live performances several nights a week as well as a cozy backyard patio in the warm weather season. GREAT SPOT. So glad we have this is Salem. Has NYC upscale-dive vibes and ambiance. The food and drinks were yummy, good indi/ rock mysic in background but not too loud, We loved that the tv was off, no annoying tingy cell phone audio- people were just enjoying eachothers company, the good food and the place.

We went to The Babe for a girls' night, and it did not disappoint! The staff was attentive, and the drinks menu was excellent, from the taste to the names. The owner was lovely and asked how we liked everything and what they could improve on and asked for suggestions since they are relatively new. The food was excellent, with decent-sized portions that allowed us to take half of home for later. You could not go wrong with this place. I will be back!

We had such a blast at The Babe. The food was amazing, the decor was gorgeous, the staff were so friendly and accommodating. We got the mozzarella pockets, the Italian and the breakfast burger - all were delicious. The drink I ordered “What’s The Point?” Was one of the best drinks I’ve had in Salem. We also loved loved the live music. What a great new addition to the Salem scene. This will definitely be one of our regular haunts from now on.

We had the whole brunch timeframe to ourselves which wasn’t a bad thing as there was 9 of us yelling and laughing. Great way to celebrate our cousin only Easter. Thanks again! Would go back for sure!

Great new spot in Salem. Friendly staff, well thought out food and drinks but still comfortable. Great design, looking forward to coming back!

Our first time was excellent and we can't wait to go back. It's terrific that The Babe is all things a local pub should be, good food, service & value. A great vibe.
