    Our server, Steve, was outstanding! The food, excellent. One of the steak orders came out medium well instead of medium rare and Steve brought a fresh new steak, cooked perfectly and a whole new order of macaroni and cheese, knowing the side would have been cold by the time the steak was remade. We look forward to being back soon!

    It was my first experience dining at The Avenue. We were taking out of town guests for a birthday celebration. The communication for the reservation through open table worked very well with updates and follow through. The booth I requested when I made the reservation was ready and we were seated immediately. The food was excellent and our service was outstanding by our waiter Braeden. It was a busy Friday evening and the service was timely, friendly and efficient. Braeden handled our parking validation and gift certificate very quickly and the whole group had a great evening.

    Drinks were great as always. Service was very slow and our order wasn’t taken for over 45 minutes. Our server seemed almost annoyed by us and we seemed to be forgot about several times. Food was good but not as good as the many times we’ve visited the Avenue before. Steaks were overcooked, salad had almost no dressing on it, and our fries were cold. Just not what we have come to expect from the Avenue.

    Our meal was good and our server did a great job. It was difficult to talk to the people at our table with the noise. The restaurant was full, the music was on in the background and it wasn’t until after the tables emptied that it was comfortable to chat. I don’t think I would eat in the dining room again. I would choose the patio or bar area.

    First impression on entering was of a cross between an all-in wrestling arena and a cheap bar. The noise in the place was totally not suitable for a dinner-for-two Birthday celebration - probably we made a bad choice. We were seated in a most uncomfortable booth, reminding me perhaps of D*nn*'s in the past or B*b *v*ns these days. Our server was excellent, managing to make himself understood above the cacophony. His colleague, when bringing main dishes to the table, however, was less capable, requiring my wife to clear used salad dishes to make a space, as he had both hands full - not impressive for a CM restaurant. The 'smart casual' dress code was apparently not enforced, as a group of ten guys in ball-hats and tee-shirts installed themselves in one corner. The food was very good, served at a decent rhythm, and tasty. What more can I say - probably fun if you are 20-something and looking for a boisterous evening over a few drinks, but otherwise not really. Also wondering why Open Table asked whether there was a special occasion, as no mention was made of the Birthday that was indicated. Sorry.

    Overall poor service, missed a lot of little things- didn’t clear the table, slow on rolls, ice cream melted, no refills, no extra dressing, charged for free dessert. Not up to standards of a Cameron Mitchell restaurant!
