When you combine our ability to source the best beef in the world, cooking with an incredible natural wood fire grill, and friendly thoughtful service, an incredible quality steak is born.

This is why we offer the best USDA Prime, True Japanese Wagyu, and Black Angus Beef.

Unlike most pedestrian steak houses, Each one of our Steaks is cooked skillfully by our Grill Master over a stoked live fire with smoking white oak embers.
Our steaks are available both wet-and dry-aged and well as Bone-in, grilled to perfection our magnificent J&R Woodfire Grill.

Had an absolutely fantastic birthday celebration at Arthur J! Our server provided excellent service, and even as someone who isn't a big fan of steak, I found the fillet mignon with truffle butter sauce to be heavenly. We'll definitely be returning for more.

The servers Jao was absolutely amazing and very attentive. The food presentation was superb and the taste matched. We had great drinks that tasted exquisite. We had appetizers, a salad and entrees along with Dessert. Every meal was timed out and very tasty. Beautiful restaurant and we will be going back!! Shomari

My husband and I were very excited to come and try this place since we have heard so many good things about the restaurant. Angel was our server and he was amazing but the food wasn’t that great. From the appetizer to our main dish everything was room temperature. Very disappointed, especially considering our high expectations.

The food and service were impeccable, with perfectly prepared steaks, appetizers and sides served graciously and without delay. But the dining room was too noisy for normal conversation. In fact, after our meal, we were relieved to step outside where it was blissfully quiet. Isn't there some way the restaurant could offer a loud zone as well as a more civilized zone? The current din is the only reason we'd be reluctant to return or recommend the Arthur J to friends.

Waiters were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Hostesses took 30 minutes from our reservation time to seat us and didn't seem very apologetic about it. Appetizers were all great, steaks were decent. Cheesecake was amazing but souffle was pretty dry and cracked.

We came to celebrate our Anniversary as this is my favorite steakhouse. The food was amazing and the service was great as well. I had my the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly. The only minor annoyance was that we had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time.

In town on a visit booked for Thursday night last min . We were seated in the bar area , which we were not pleased with the hostess offered us the option to wait for a table in main dinning room but explained noise level is always height no matter where you sit . Things got better once’s we were seated and once again the hostess came over to make sure we were ok as a table opened up unreal caring person . Our server Michael took over and put us at easel Drinks arived and he walked us through the menu . I worked in Manhattan for over 35 years and been to all the famous steak houses I have to tell you Arthur’s was right up there if not better Excellent all around service , food ,delivery all top notch , vibe Dress code could be tightened up , (hoodies , sneakers tee shirts ) but it is California So pleased we tried Thank you all for a great night

It’s incredibly expensive, I asked if there was any wine under $100 and it was pretty much laughed at. The food was really amazing but for the price point it was super high. We got a nice bottle of wine, two apps, shared a steak and had basic sides it was about $500 for two ppl.

Another wonderful dinner at Arthur J’s. The staff were pleasant and engaging and the atmosphere is top notch. The food…Crab cakes, scallops and steak sampling were on point. The only issue was the noise level. I love the consistency of the experience and that’s why we keep coming back. Cheers and great job by the staff!

We had Rib Eye steaks; delicious but more like medium versus the medium rare we ordered. As sides we tried fries, creamed spinach, mushrooms, Mac and cheese plus mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes were the favorite. Mac and cheese was lacking flavor. For dessert Banana Split and Strawberry cake were wonderful. Especially the strawberry cake deserves a mention as it was delicious and flavorful without being overly sweet or heavy.

Expensive, but worth it, so the value is there. Shockingly, they were out of Filet when we arrived, and it was the one thing I wanted. The evening turned out better because of it! Our waiter recommended a 60 day Porterhouse that wasn't on the menu, which had a Filet and a NY Strip on it, and they were both fantastic, and a great way to bond with my date, picking apart the meal for two. It was actually my Birthday, and they were very supportive and thank gosh no embarrassing waiters singing some weird song designed to avoid copyright infringement like other places do. Just a nice, elegant note and even a small Birthday cake. Everyone from the Maître d' to the host and wait staff were amazing. It's LOUD. The waiter helped rotated our table so I could sit next to my amazing partner, so we could connect. Thank you!

Service was great. Steak was good, rolls great, potato slightly undercooked and the sour cream was like glue. Couldn’t even get it off the spoon. Chocolate cake was burnt on the bottom. Mushrooms should not be so dry. Almost inedible. Kitchen seems like it needs a QA upgrade. Saturday night so definitely prime time. Drinks were also very good.

Tough night. Sat us at 8:25 for our 7:30 reservation. Sort of apologetic and gave us a free 4-shrimp cocktail. Been there over a dozen times over the years without an issue. Doubt I’ll be going back.

Cocktails are fantastic. Great appetizers and sides. But the steaks are the star of the meal. High quality meat and cooked to perfection. Throw in a good bottle of Cabernet and a strawberry mousse dessert and you get happy repeat customers

The service was impeccable from the moment we were greeted by the hostess. Our waiter Mike was fabulous, but our steak was not. My petite filet was raw on the inside when it was served to me and my husband’s ribeye was also raw on the inside. Our waiter and the manager acted swiftly and perfectly to rectify the situation. For me, second time was a charm, and my steak was good, but my husband’s ribeye was over cooked. Mike was amazing and offered dessert, and brought us a round of drinks. The service did make up for the food issues in the end.

Celebrated our 25th anniversary. Service was phenomenal. Food was very good. We would definitely come back. Appreciated the appetizers and sides. Popovers, wedge salad, oysters, and bone marrow were very tasty. I would recommend the steak sampler. The asparagus, brussels sprouts, and mushrooms were also very good. There’s plenty of appetizers and sides to share.

Arguably the best steak house in the South Bay. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting. The service was impeccable and attentive, yet unobtrusive. I prefer my steaks with less butter and they easily accommodated my request. The seafood options are also great as their sister restaurant is also one of the best fish restaurants in the South Bay.
