Food and service were good. However, we waited more than 30 mins to pay our bill because the restaurant didn’t know how to honor the OpenTable reward points that we used to make the reservation. In the end, they just took off an appetizer and dessert from our bill, which was less than the value of the reward points. Not a good experience for our early Mother’s Day dinner celebration.

Lack of haute cuisine sides, soups. Very limited menu for such a restaurant. After leaving porterhouse steak in the fridge overnight the meat was not tender, indicating a poor quality cut. Out of two vines listed on their menu, common red orders. Out of desert. Overpriced and poor slow service.

I chose to take my wife here for our 5th wedding anniversary. They recognized our anniversary from the start of the experience, and offered complementary champagne and chocolates. Our server, Phillip, was new and told us he was, but he was very personable and provided excellent service. We had the artisan bread, which was brought out with a smoking butter that was delicious. We then had fettuccine Al burro, which was tossed table side in a wheel of Parmesan. We also shared a hanger steak that was tender and perfectly seasoned. At dessert, they brought out a plate with Happy 5 Year Anniversary written in icing with chocolates along with our donuts stuffed with strawberry mousse. Between each course, several members of the service staff helped clear our table and offer refills of our San Pelligrino and make sure we were doing well. The pasta was the best I’ve ever had, and every bite we took of each course was incredible. We were even impressed with the flavors on the charred broccolini. We will definitely revisit to try more dishes at this restaurant. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish.

Service was less than stellar. In spite of not being busy, our server never really came by. Then the “self added” tip was a bit of BS.

The food was great, but the service was poor. Don’t think it was all the waitress’ fault. It took 30 minutes to get salads. We were there from 6:30 until 8:10. It was frustrating. I live across the street and won’t go back.

The food was disappointing for the price paid - gnocchi was salty, gummy, oily; steak was overcooked; octopus had a fishy aftertaste; smoked butter tasted of candle wax; scallops were just ok, tomato sauce had a sharp garlic bite, budino lacked any depth of caramel flavor, cheesecake was spongy and lacked flavor - no one finished their entrees. Service was good, but the kitchen had an off night. We expected more from a restaurant from Mr Conant.

I heard about The Americano because Scott is my favorite judge on Chopped so I decided to celebrate my birthday there. I had a great experience. The restaurant was beautiful! The staff were warm and welcoming. They were patient with my guest and I as we were trying to find the parking deck. The food was fresh and delicious! Definitely will be back!

Dined here (2 adults + 2 small kids) for Easter brunch. The one bright spot of the entire experience was the Easter programming for the children (Easter egg hunt, cookie decorating, ballon artists, face painting) and the live jazz music! Things took a sharp turn for the worst when it was time to actually return to the restaurant to eat. We were seated about 30 min past our reservation time (read: kids are now hungry and restless). Drinks we ordered at the bar to help pass the time never materialized and the bartenders seemed both inexperienced (one had a manual in her hand with the drink recipes) and overwhelmed. When we were finally seated everything moved at a snail’s pace. 10 min to get tap water to the table (never refilled), 15 min to put in our dining order (they were also out of several menu items by this point), at 30 min mark when the cocktails we ordered (second attempt) still had not arrived to the table - my husband went to the bar to order them directly himself. He returned 10 min later with drinks…. At the same time our originally ordered drinks finally arrived. The food came to the table at about the 45 min mark lukewarm and incorrect (3 of the 4 entrees were missing their sides). The first time we saw our server after he took our orders (other waitstaff brought us our food and drinks) was when he came to the table ~ 5 min after the food arrived to see if we needed anything else. I expressed my concerns and he sent over his manager - who apologized for the poor service and removed the charges for 2 of the cocktails. I appreciate managements gesture in the face of an overwhelmingly negative experience. However I do not recommend this restaurant, nor do I plan to ever return

My husband took me here for my 47th birthday because he knows I am a huge Chopped fan where Scott Conant is a judge. We were seated immediately and on the table was a beautiful birthday card from the Americano staff which was such a sweet sentiment. Our waiter, Augustus, was phenomenal and so on point! He explained everything and answered all of our questions with ease. The food came in a timely manner so we truly enjoyed each course and EVERYTHING was delicious. My dirty blue cheese olive martinis were out of this world and from the bread, to the calamari, to the wedge salad, and gnocchi was devine. (we split our salad so we could eat all of our food and they left the Lardons on for my husband and took them iff for me since I do not eat pork or red meat. I have never had smoked tomato basil(basil i think) butter, but it was otherworldly. To finish our dinner we were given a choice of a complementary dessert which came out with a plate and candle saying, “Happy Birthday!” I could not have asked for a more perfect birthday dinner from the place, to the ambiance, the waiter, and then the food. Bar none one of my top five restaurants I have ever dined at. I definitely recommend The Americano.

Terrible terrible service. We scheduled a reservation for 8:45 and we didn’t get sat until 9:30! Food was wonderful, but don’t come if you are in a hurry.

The Americano is such a beautiful restaurant in Buckhead. They had this man playing lovely music with his flute in front of the restaurant. That was amazing! The food was really good even though one of our order was a bit salty but it didn’t matter to me because the service was amazing! Everyone was so kind and attentive. They even gave my son a complimentary birthday surprise which that was the main reason for us dining there. Awesome restaurant!

Service was outstanding from the greetings at the host stand to table service. The restaurant decor and setting was posh and modern. Drinks were good but not exciting enough to order a second round of. We tried one of each cocktail. The food was slightly underwhelming. My friends recommended this place for the porterhouse dinner and maybe we should have went for that again but instead we tried a bit of each section of the menu. We tasted the focaccia, oysters, tuna crudo, a few pastas, the New York strip and a few sides. I would come back for the calamari app, the beef cheeks and the bolognese. The table agreed all the food was heavily salted tonight.

We went for a date night, and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, and our trainee server was shadowed by a more experienced server ensuring the overall quality of our experience.

We arrived at 7:20 for a 7:30 reservation. We were seated a little after 8 in a fairly empty restaurant. We were told that we slipped through the cracks. The host (a female) was not happy about seating us by the window and made it clear. Once we were seated, Chris came over to bring drinks and once he was aware of what happened was very gracious as was our server, a lovely young woman. We were comped a round of drinks and a wonderful appetizer which was very nice. Overall, the restaurant seemed to be in chaos so we were expecting a packed house and that was not the case. Not what we had expected after visiting Scarpetta numerous times.
