Great Jazz Brunch for Father’s Day. My dad comes in town for Father’s Day every year to visit. I live in Buckhead and he’s a Hilton member so stays at the Intercontinental. The Americano is the perfect spot for us to meet and have drinks during his stay. Where we usually have breakfast in the club room, and dinner at the Americano, this was our first time experiencing what the brunch had to offer. The menu consisted of some of their signature dishes like the Rigatoni and Pomodoro (my faves) as well as some traditional breakfast staples and steak cut options for their Steak and Egg options. A lot of the mixed drink offerings fall on the sweet side, and I am not that girl. I tried the Bloody Mary to start which was tasty (horseradish lovers👀) and my dad had a Mimosa with cranberry juice, which had the perfect transparent hue at a 97% to 3% ratio champagne to juice. Later I had the Espresso Martini, and when I asked the bartender if it had Baileys in it, he looked at me like I was crazy! He said “Oh no, ours are REAL ESPRESSO MARTINIS… we don’t do that here” That made my day! The Jazz bands set wasn’t obnoxious or loud. It for sure gave background noise, and didn’t hinder conversation. The restaurant validates self parking, which saves you $20! All in all it was a great experience and I would recommend The Americano for your next Dinner, Date or Special Occasion.

The experience was extraordinary! We had our 30th anniversary dinner and they went above and beyond to make us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. Top of the list of my favorite places ❤️

From appetizer to dessert, our meal was excellent. We were not rushed, waitress was so good and the fresh pasta was a treat. All around worth repeating!

The food was quite good--the best we have had in Atlanta, but the service, while good, was very slow. Our waiter seemed to have quite a few other tables, and they all seemed to be more important than ours--from take our initial orders to taking requests for dessert. We were a group of 7 and we were there for over three hours. That's way too long to spend on dinner. With the price tag that came with the meal, I thought we might have received a bit more attention.

Never a bad meal here! EVERYTHING is excellent! Dinner is a must, but don't sleep on Brunch! Steak and eggs is a winner.

This was our third visit to the Americano and each time it just gets better and better! I mean, it was already excellent but this time... Amazing! As always, the hostesses greeted us with a smile and a very warm welcome. Once seated, our server Desiree made some excellent suggestions for the evening. Desiree was amazing all night long. Very professional but very friendly. She is really an asset to the americano. Actually, all of the service at the Americano is above reproach. They are an excellent staff and it really shows in your whole experience. For a starter, we did the olive oil poached octopus and it was fantastic. Sometimes octopus can be a little tough but this one was unbelievably tender. Our pasta course was the Fettuccine Al Burro. It was magnificent. The pasta was perfectly cooked and seasoned and was tossed in butter and cheese expertly tableside. Incredible doesn't even begin to describe it because without a sauce there's really nowhere to hide. That's how you know this is excellent pasta. For our mains, my husband did the sea scallops and I did the salmon. I am not a fan of sea scallops at all but these were so tender and so sweet they almost took on the flavor and consistency of a bay scallop. The salmon was probably the best salmon I've ever eaten. It was so well cooked and so well seasoned and the bed of mushrooms and peas just made it a perfect bright and light main course after the pasta course. For dessert my husband had the lemon sorbet which was so good but I had the chocolate tortino and it was amazing! It's the best plated dessert I've had in a long time. Definitely the best dessert I've ever had in the United States and it rivals the best desserts I have previously had in Europe. As an added bonus to the night, we had the absolute honor to meet and speak with restaurateur and chef Scott Conant. He was incredibly nice and very kind to spend a few moments with all of the guests. It's well worth the hour drive each way to go there!
